Not only that, but can you imagine what they pay in property taxes? That money helps the community. The more big homes, the better! I don't know why that upsets people so much.
@Tinkrbl44, well, yes, but in California, we are still under Prop 13, which keeps taxes on homes and commercial buildings down.
As for the idea that the bigger the home, the better, I disagree. Huge monster houses are a blight and and are not at all environmentally or socially appropriate in areas where there is such dense population.
It's a constant battle between those who want to build these mega mansions and the cities and counties that want some reasonable restrictions.
wow if this is true, that is actually scary that the price I paid for property taxes for my house in California was "lower" because of a propostion. I can't imagine how much it would have been then! The taxes were outrageous- I've never paid that much for taxes in other states and the other homes I've owned were bigger and more acreage. I wonder if this is only in certain areas in California. And in many other states, you can get a tax break on property you are using for agricultural/farm use but not true for my property in California.

I wonder how the Dubrow's new Co Q10 supplements compare to those of Andrew Lessman?

The before and after photos are a joke. The afters look the same and the two keep exclaiming how much better it looks.
They need to pay for the monstrosity of a house his wife wanted to build.... thus selling the same ol thing everyone else is selling....skin care. Even Dubrow's partner on the Botched show has a line.....just milking it.....
Here is the house... 20,000 Square Foot, 14-Bathroom Mansion
She has excellent taste, but why would someone want 14 bedrooms or bathrooms?? I don't understand that.
She has 4 children. Even with 2 guest rooms, 2 offices and a housekeeper's room...one would 'need' 10 max!!!
That lot is tiny.
i wonder where, in that area, her house is? I'm sure it's gorgeous inside.

@SahmIam wrote:@maestra Thank you so much for this info. I'll look into these. In your opinion, is it worth taking them while doing chemo or while having multiple surgeries? Or would it be better to wait until things are calmer in ones life?
@ wait. Chemo often doesnt permit vitamin or health supplements, at least mine didnt, but check w/your oncologist or hemotologist. Same w/surgeon, might impact healing. If it's ok then see if this could help, but follow physician directives.
I began this when I rec'd the ok from doctor to take biotin, which he suggested, so I didnt jump in right away.
@Sahmlam I also work out 3-4 hours a week and really try to eat as nutritiously as possible-green leafy, meat w/low fat, fish (salmon).
My greatest weakness is thin Oreos and Weight Watcher Fudgsicles. Sorry, but I am only human.

I commend them for making the money they do. Good for them! They work hard, and they have been fortunate and have had lucky "breaks'. Had Heather not been on the Housewives, she'd not have a podcast or the guest spots she's on or the Evine line. No one would have ever known about Heather DuBrow. Terry would be a successful plastic surgeon, but the Housewives "gig" landed him on Botched and afforded him an Evine line skincare line.
I actually do listen to Heather's podcast, and it's very good. She's a bright woman--albeit pretentious. Yes, she's a bit haughty and condescending, but she's intelligent and seems kind overall (at least from the podcast).
I just don't understand the want or need for that big of a home--it's just to show off, imo.
I'm not impressed with their skincare line. I read the ingredients, and it's not all that. I'll stick to Retin A and PTR and Olay.

Dubrow has added 5 mg of Bioprene for absorption, like they do with Turmeric caps, they usually have 5 mg of Bioprene too.

@ElvisShops CoQ10 is CoQ10 (Ubiquinone). However, CoQH (Ubinquinol) is absorbed better, especially if you're over 40. Kaneka Ubiquinol is the best.

I guess I'm pretty accustomed to large homes and mansions in the Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and several other areas that were developed many years ago. These areas are very well maintained. (I can't speak to the issue of brand new homes built using practically every inch of the lot.) You can't get much denser than the Greater Los Angeles area, but "socially inappropriate" may be in the eye of the beholder .... or just not what I'm referring to.
@Tinkrbl44, yes, I grew just a few blocks from Beverly Hills and was familiar with the beautiful, tasteful homes of which you speak. In fact, my aunt and uncle had a truly lovely place up in one of the canyons overlooking a beautiful resevoir. These are nothing like the eyesores that started cropping up later on.
By "socially appropriate," I am referring to the fact that all these "palaces," especially those on large parcels, are obscene to some of us who know how desperately we need more housing -- and how about some affordable housing for the masses of working poor that contribute to our state's economy but who can barely afford rent for an apartment; forget the dream of home ownership.
But yes, you probably were not talking about that.
@HappyDaze, yes, property taxes are high here, but not as high as before Prop 13. Of course, for every benefit there is a cost in terms of public services. That said, California has managed to come through rough times and is doing relatively well now.
I think this is what we term an evolving thread. :-)

Cosmetic/plastic surgery has to do with the POSITION (or repositioning) of the skin (and maybe some muscle correction underneath, IDK). Skincare has to do with the CONDITION of the skin - two different things entirely.
really....I didn't know that..thanks for enlightening me

??? Even if a person has some plastic surgery, that doesn't mean they wouldn't need skincare products or makeup. Skin still needs to be cleansed, moisturized and treated, depending on the skin type ... dry, oily, etc. One really has nothing to do with the other!
True...it just doesn't seem like they are talking about plastic surgery and the need for skin care; seems like they are just shilling yet another skin care line under the guise of looking like his youthful wife, who may or may not have had plastic surgery, (but I'll bet on the former)...having said that, I didn't watch their entire presentations so perhaps I'm wrong
