@NickNack, @Shanus, In 2016 in Oct or Nov (I don't remember) but I rec eived a postcard in the mail giving me a 25% discount & free shpg. I stocked up with fragrance, tinted moisturizer, blush, etc. Laura usually offers s 20% a few times a year online so I was surprised that I received a postcard. About a month ago, I received another postcard but this time it was for 20% off. At that time I did not need anything. However, they ended up duplicating two orders I made with the 25% off and I called to inform them and they told me to keep it since it was their mistake. Next time I get a postcard, I want to buy their Fig fragrance which is very pretty. I use the Almond Coconut now. Their tinted moisturier oil-free is my no.1. Just a tad of coverage but it evens the skin tone out. P.S. NickNack, if you don't believe me check with their customer service about the postcards and discounts. I have nothing to gain by making this up[.

@Katcat1 Of course I believe you. I'm not sure I've ever gotten a post card though. If I have, I must not have needed anything at the time. That's nice that they send those out.

As to suggestions, I was also 00 Porcelain with BB.
Now using FAIR (the fairest available) by IT and it finally is a match.
Loved the BB foundation sticks. Sigh.
@1Professor, have you taken a look at Lancome's Teint Idole Stick foundation? I've been wearing it for for almost a year now and love it.
I have been a Bobbi Brown foundation stick user for many years, especially when traveling. I had read good reviews (Paula's Choice) about the Lancome one. I was checking out the shades at my local Sephora, and told the sales gal that I have always used the BB foundation stick. She asked what shade I had been using - Warm Sand - and then went to the computer and was able to do a match up with the Lancome shades. I did purchase, and actually like the Lancome one better. For those interested, perhaps your local Sephora can do the same.

@SahmIam wrote:I found this on a blog from December and found myself nodding the whole time I was reading it. I also remember hearing Bobbi say things such as "you don't need to do that"; "the product isn't necessary", I wouldn't choose this kit for you" and things that would make the host stammer and then quickly move on. I'm willing to bet that was part of the reason we stopped seeing her on air.
In any event, here you go:
"I wasn’t the least bit shocked when the announcement was made. The writing has been on the wall for quite awhile. It appears that Bobbi has been steadily losing artistic control over her eponymous line. She was the original go-to brand for women who wanted natural looks that were easy to do, that were polished without looking contrived, that were fashionable without being overtly trendy, and that made a woman feel like she was presenting the very best version of herself rather than a painted Instagram façade. But, as her line grew, the focus was lost. First, the beauty campaigns like Pretty Powerful that featured regular women of all ages and ethnicities were replaced by a celebrity face. Katie Holmes was boring but not too bad, but Kate Upton? Definitely not a Bobbi Brown kind of gal! Such a disconnect! Then there was the development and release of products that Bobbi herself said she would never use (on QVC no less). When it was decided to expand her line into the Asian market, she was told she’d need products with much more color and shimmer. Finally, the products themselves deteriorated in quality to the point where there are now far too many misses amongst the hits and the repetition has become a bore. You know, there is nothing wrong with remaining a smaller line and remaining true to the demographic that you sought to please in the first place. Once you fall in league with Big Money, you can’t expect to have the same kind of control because it becomes all about the investors’ bottom line. Yeah, it was definitely time for Bobbi to move on."
Very interesting read, and so true! Thanks for posting!

Thanks so much for the heads up.
Just went on line (Nordstrom) to order a foundation stick in 00 Alabaster. For those of us with pale pale skin, priceless.
(I use with the Doll10 blendsmart rotating makeup brush, evens everything!)

@NickNack, This was the first postcard I ever received. I believe she is changing the way she offers discounts. Instead of announcing the discount online she only sends cards out to certain people. I believe one time I had an order for $100 maybe a year & a half ago. Otherwise I do not spend a lot of money. Go figure. I did take advantage of the 25% off because I do love two of her fragrances -- almond coconut and the fig scent. P.S. Make sure you are on her email list.

@Katcat1 I am on her e-mail list, and I have ordered from her website but not often. I usually order her things from Sephora. Maybe I'll get a postcard next time, or maybe she just sends them to people who have ordered a lot at one time. Her make-up seems to last me a very long time.

I was never a big fan of her items either.

I think Bare Minerals has a pretty good range of shades, listed here from the Original formula Shade Finder .......
