After 25 years, Bobbi Brown has stepped down, retired, given up or given in to Estée Lauder. They purchased her company years ago, but with the condition that she stay on as head of the company. I've used her makeup/skincare for those 25 yrs. (those of who've read my posts are tired of hearing this) because of her range of foundation shades with no orange or pink in the lighter shades especially... I wear 00 Porcelain. I've never found a very, very light foundation (or tinted moisturizer) that matched my skin exactly. Her skincare is no nonsense... Night cream, day cream and eye cream. I use drugstore SPF and Retin A in RX strength.

 I'm watching carefully for the slightest changes made by Estée Lauder...price increase, change of ingredients, discontinued products and addition of unnecessary steps of skincare. If that happens, I'm done. Yep, I said it...no BB for me. I'm already on the hunt for another line, just in case. I'm not interested in lines like Lancome or Chanel that promise lifting and firming to 68 yr. old skin...only surgery does that. Any suggestions?

One of many beauty companies that were built up by individuals and then sold to corporate America while at their peak. The exposure on QVC cerainly helps and drives prices up if the line does well.

I cannot say that I blame any individual that does this ( after all to make money is what business is all about...they are not charities) but I also do not trust in the integrity of the products after.

Well you do have an opportunity to go back to zero. Sure everybody would like perfectly matched make up, but there are many options that aught to be close enough.   My favorite was max factor pan stick that matched my skin perfectly, and I continued to buy it from Canadian outlets until the price on eBay got ridiculous.

So I also went back to zero, and have found Laura Geller's make up fantastic. So maybe you should give some other folks a try if you see that Bobby Brown's line does not stay true.

@Shanus,  Take a look at Laura Mercier because she offers different undertones and once you are a customer, I have received special 25% off and  free shpg. so you can stock up on products of your choice.  Good luck in your search.

@Katcat1  I've been checking Laura Mercier in Nordstrom and it is a possibility for color cosmetics, but not skincare. I wasn't aware her products are 25% off on her site. Always?

I wear Laura Mercier make-up and have ordered from her website.  I've never gotten 25% off.  I have gotten % off's from her by e-mail but don't think it's been 25%.

Laura Mercier was recently sold to Shiseido. Shiseido also bought Bare Minerals several years ago. The line will probably change.

I bought Bobbi Brown about a year ago and thought it was just me that her products changed, the consistancy of the under eye concealer made me think maybe it's just me. 

I saw some clearance prices on Hautelook the other day and am happy I didn't buy any of that, I'm sure I wouldn't of been satisfied.

I've never found such a good match for my skin tone with any other brand either. I'm using the last of my foundation stick (foundation stick, not skin foundation stick which I didn't like).  Knowing that I was getting low, I've tried other brands but no luck so far.
