A few months ago I posted asking about Biotin, and if anyone had any results or reviews on it -

I have been taking one 10,000 mcg capsule every day for the last couple of months, and it works!

My hair has thickened up and is not coming out when I brush and style it.  It also has great texture and shine!

I have long hair which I have foil frosted, and a hairdresser recommended that I try Biotin.

I also use a leave-in hair bonding treatment each time I wash it, 'Olaplex 6'.  Just using a small amount on the ends only, not on the roots, I have oily hair.

The Olaplex 6 works very well, and I am so glad I tried Biotin, it's a miracle - my hair looks and acts just like it did when I was a kid!

Glad the biotin is working for you.  I've read that in some cases it works....others it won't.  It depends on the reason for the thinning/hair loss.  Enjoy!

@Ronettes  Congratulations ~ that's great news. I've also had success with Biotin and Olaplex. Small world...

My hair always grows quickly, but I've noticed now that it is growing even faster, and my nails as well!

I realize that it may not work for all, but it is certainly is worth a try, if anyone is having problems.

Isn't that something!  I wasn't sure about trying Olaplex, because I have oily hair, but it seems to make split ends disappear and makes styling so easy!

@Ronettes  What brand of Biotin do you use?

@Ronettes

Would you mind sharing exactly what brand of Biotin you're taking?  My dermatologist convinced me to try Nutrafol for my thinning hair and after 4 1/2 months I've seen no improvement at all. It's expensive, and I have to down 4 good sized capsules a day for just 3000 mcg of biotin vs your 10,000.  So I'd like to try what you're using when I finish up the Nutrafol.

I'm glad you got good results!  I'm been taking it for a number of years.  But I really didn't think it was doing much but maybe if I stopped I would notice the difference!

I showed the 'Nature's Bounty' that I take each day, perhaps you need the 10,000 mcg, rather than the lower amount you are presently taking?

Good Luck!  Hope it works for you.  And I buy the 'Nature's Bounty' whenever it goes on 1/2 price sale at our supermarket, so it's not very expensive at all.
