@Shanus No judgement from me! We all should do whatever makes us feel we look our best.
I haven't had 2nd thoughts since I quit coloring some years back...but my hair isn't completely gray. And since I went short & layered a year ago, the brown shows even more, especially in the back. The sides & top are much more gray/silver.
Who knows what the future will bring, though?

Your opthalmologist should give you a choice of interocular lens implants.
I chose ones for near-sightedness and astigmatism. Yes...I still wear "readers" but can drive, shop and do almost everything else without glasses. di

@Shanus Good for you. You will never look back. I will be 80 in two months and have always colored my hair. Red with a few white areas in front. When people ask why I do, I say that I am very, very pale and look like a ghost otherwise. 👌❤️

@Desertdi Thanks Di. I did ask about those lenses, but he said they were more expensive and couldn't suggest they'd correct my vision enough to not my glasses, so listened to his advice. We'll see (lol) how it turns out.

@Shanus I am happy for you that coloring your hair makes you happy! That's wonderful!
I have white hair, weird hard because some strands of it are sort of sparkly. So it isn't gray, it is white but not flat white. I don't know what you call it. If it were gray maybe I would feel the need--I don't know. My grandfather and his twin had hair the color of mine. My dad never went gray, just salt and pepper in his 90's.
Anyway, I would not consider going back to coloring my hair. It is a huge blessing to me that I feel fine with the way I look, and hair coloring is high maintenance and high cost that I just don't have to do now! So that's my happy place. And I hope the new hair makes your place now happier too!
Best wishes for the move and everything!

Enjoy your new color...the "more you" one!
Good luck for an easy and comfortable cataract surgery.❤️

Medicare and my supplemental paid "most" of it. I DID have to pay the eye surgery center for use of their facilities, tho. di

I went through a huge transformation the past 4 yeas. I've always had brown hair. As I aged I'd get it blonde highlights. I always wanted to be a blonde but thought it was impossible. I found a great new hair stylist that just works wonders with my hair. I've always worn my hair in a pixie style. She decided to make me a blonde and I'm totally obessed with it! With my 70 lb. weight loss (4 years ago) and me being a blonde now actually no one recognizes me. One woman we know actually thought my husband remarried! Haha! I swore, years ago, that I'd never let my hair go grey. Blonde hair rules!

stopped coloring sixteen yrs ago. Never once regretted it. I look older because I am older. My face and hair go together. And that's ok with me. I did not enjoy seeing white roots within three weeks of an expensive color job. If I were to color my hair again, I would look like a 73 yr old with dyed hair. What's the point of that? Speaking for myself only. I'm glad you are excited about the "new you"🥰

@wagirl wrote:I actually did like my hair color before August of this year--decided to give myself a little make over due to my DS getting married in Sept--but while the woman that cuts my hair to prefection for me
she cannot do a decent color--had highlights and lowlights done--my hair was a med brown with grey that looked really nice--but after all that hoopla--the color turned out a brassy dark blond---not awful, just not what I thought I was getting--then had a toner and then put a boxed color thru it--now have a slightly more reddish blond color to it---hate it ----and cost sooo much $$$ too--so do I go ahead and just live with it or find another box color and try to cover it all. Can tell you this--will NEVER do another color again.
Had the same thing happen, had my stylist do her usual cut but tried color for my once and only time in a salon.
Hated it as it was brassy too so I used my usual Clairol Natural Instincts #4 Dark Brown a few days later.
A bit different in color putting it on the salon dyed hair but sure better than what she did.
Actually dying my hair today as I have a wedding to attend Saturday.
So yes I'd say go for it!
