I also have the Elos system. I used it regularly after I got it on the TSV. It did get rid of my facial hair (especially the nagging stiff chin hairs), it took care of my bikini line (grateful for that as I always got the red bumpy rash from shaving!), my thighs and underarms are hair free too! I still have to use it on my lower legs which were really hairy, I used to shave everyday. The Elos system I think is great, but the presentation hugely underestimates how long it will take for some people. I have to say that overall it has been the best thing I have used. I did try the NoNo but when I used it on my face I did get a burn from the zapping. Hence it ended up in a garage sale! I really enjoy hardly ever having to shave.

Jacie, is it an IPL? Laser? How does it work? I saw one at Costco and I saw the word "epilator" in the description and since I'm using the Emjoi, wasn't interested. Is there more than one model? Thanks!

CaitlinH,

I have the Elos Illuminage that I got right here at QVC. It is a light laser, uses at 2 part light zap. No pain whatsoever, BUT it took way longer to see lasting results than touted. But it was a good investment for me. Some of the reviews are not so great.

Yeah, that's the problem -- or reality -- of just about everything. I can love it and you can hate it. We always have to try for ourselves, but it's easier getting something that MORE people like! :-) Happy it's working for you. I may bite one of these days, only because I don't think the Emjoi will permanently remove the hair. If Im going to be using something for a long time, why not use something that has an end result? (See? Talking myself into it. :-)

I had ordered one of the laser hair removers from QVC, but when I received it and read all the info I found it says not to use if you've had skin cancer. So, being a Mela-survivor, I had to send back. I phoned QVC CS to confirm this and was told not to use. I wish they provided this info during the presentations. They really should. A real bummer since the rest of my body (legs, underarms & bikini) have all been professionally zapped (years ago) and I've been smooth ever since.

Now I have to find something for my face as I'm tired of plucking. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

What's the difference between the eMagine and eRase?

Never mind..found it...eRase has 60 tweezer heads, eMagine has 72.

How painful are these? I remember trying the Epilady a million years ago on my legs (pre laser) and just couldn't take the feeling that my skin was being ripped off one hair at a time.

JeanLouiseFinch, you're a much better woman than I am. I tried using my eMagine on my face and it hurt!!! So for everywhere from the chin down, I'm good. On my face I'll keep using my razor about once a month. Yikes!!!
