I borrowed my friends Sally Hanson gel kit with the UV Light. I used my own nail polish instead of the gel and I am hooked. My nails will not chip and I'm hard on my hands. I wanted to try and save some money and just get the light and gel top coat. Anyone have a recommendation on just the UV light?

You will need to use the items that coordinate with the lights, other wise the lights will be useless

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

You are right there is more to gels. I got the Sensationail system at walmart for $50. I've had it almost 2 years love it. If I may... do not peel the polish as tempting as you maybe you will absolutely destroy your natural nails underneath!

I LOVE mine, but unfortunately, I'm having an allergic reaction to a cosmetic (itchy, dry eyelids) and the ONLY new product, is my gel nail polish. I'm sooooo sad, I think I'll have to give it up. I've read the base coat in gel polish contains resin which has Tosylamide formaldehyde in it. Makes me break out every time.
