Good Lord! I was just about ready to find some and hit that Buy It Now button, but your experience stopped me short! That must have been so awful for you! Why do you think it was the OLE and not the Astaxanthin?
Glad you finally "came down". What a relief, I'm sure.
Last nite I had THE WORST sleep I've had in weeks. OMG! It's the Astaxanthin! I got about 4 hrs. of sleep. I've walked the dog -- for an hour, gone grocery shopping, prepared chicken and fresh string beans & carrots for the doggie. Cleaned the kitchen and as soon as I submit this message, I'm gonna go mow the lawn.
I can't take this stuff.

Just went to get the lawn mower ... I cleaned the back porch too! And to think, all this time, I thought it was the OLE.
I suppose, for someone who lacks energy, this would be good to take. BTW, my knee feels the same.

I take Astaxanthin and Sea Buckthorn Oil and I totally agree. Both are often overlooked, very beneficial supplements especially for women who are menopausal.

I still have some left over from the summer, so I'm gonna take right now!! Thanks for the reminder.
did it help the inflammation? did it change the color of your skin? what exactly did you notice? And last but not least: where did you find it and for how much??
Help Inflammation? - don't remember. Tan? - Not.
I just took 3 tabs earlier today because of your post. However, I don't recall it helping my knees. I do remember that my skin looked fantastic. I bought the product because someone had posted on Swanson Vitamins that they were taking Olive Leaf Extract and Astaxanthin and their skin looked amazing. When I started the Olive Leaf and Astaxanthin, I'd been taking a TON of vitamins as well. But honestly, no vitamin on earth affected my complexion the way the OLE & Astaxanthin did. Over time, I had to stop taking everything because I couldn't sleep. It was horrible. I'd get up @ 5:30 AM give myself a facial and walk the dog ... for an hour, then mow the grass, bake bread, clean the house, paint. It was ridiculous. I'd go to bed @ 9:30 PM and stay up till 2:00 AM reading a book. I never wanted to sleep, so I stopped taking everything. I'm pretty sure it was the OLE that made me "hyper", so, I finished it up and never repurchased. I never finished the vitamins nor the Astaxanthin. But I will finish it now, since you've mentioned it.
BTW, it did not give me a "tan". But on the other hand, I stay out of the sun.
On everything I have read on Astaxanthin none of them have mentioned this side effect? Seems like the energy drink companys would be all over that if it were a normal side effect, lol.

I have this on my HSN wishlist. I will see if it's on flex/free S&H this coming weekend and may pick it up.

years ago when I first began experiencing pain at the base of my thumb joints I was diagnosed with synovitis, an inflammation of the synovial membrane. my doctor advised that I take a strong, natural antioxidant for it's anti-iflammatory properties and suggested that I take either astaxanthin or resveritrol ,or better yet, he wanted me to take both. I started out taking astaxanthin only and almost immediately noticed less pain. then I added resveritrol and now take both daily. I know it works because I occasionally forget to take them for a few days and the pain and joint stiffness returns. I buy both of these supplements from Lessman. but to address your original comment, it has not given me even the slightest hint of a tan.

I think I read the recommended useage is 12 mg daily and I see Nunu4u whom I totally respect on this subject also takes the 12 mg. Andrew Lessmans are just 4 mg so if you plan on taking more daily keep that in mind when you make your purchase.

Those of you having insomnia and hyper-activity issues seem to have all jumped in on the 12 mg dosage and I'd be willing to bet that's just too much.
My Dr recommended just 4 mg daily along with my Olive Leaf. Even if you eventually need to up the dosage, jumping in at a higher dose doesn't allow for your body to adjust so you're getting an instant side-effect so to speak.

12 mg is a rather high dose, I take Puritans Pride brand, 5 mg.
