I have been watching about Argan oil and could not afford the beautiful unscented on the Q that is whipped.........I bought me some pure Organ oil 15 ounces with shipping was $27........I am going to try it because my skin is so dry. It does say not to use if pregnant. It is 100% pure Argan Oil............It will last me longer than the bottles of Jobo Oil. I have to do something and I would love to have a hudge jar of the whipped by Josie but I can''t afford that.

If you need a modestly priced highly moisturizing body lotion I buy Nubian Heritage body lotion at my local natural foods store. It's about 10 dollars for a 13oz bottle and it's very thick so you don't need much. It's all natural. I use the coconut and papaya but there are a variety of choices.
I love Josies body butters too but decided to try this when I saw it at the store and I really like it. My skin is really dry also.

You can always add a few drops of argan oil to any body cream/lotion and it will intensify the moisture. Spending $50 for whipped butter is over my budget too.

what is your question about argon oil? i'm not sure what you want. it's a wonderful product for dryskin.

If you have very dry skin
1- switch to a soap free body wash like CeraVe
2 - add a few drops of oil to a rich body cream or lotion that has hyaluronic acid and ceramide in the ingredient deck.
Save yourself a lot of money!!

I was just posting that I purchased 100% Argan Oil through a company and it is so much cheaper than being in products. I really did not have a question per se I just wanted to know if anyone had used Argan from another company at a great price. We never hear about Jojobo oil anymore just argan and I got it from a natural company so what we see in the stores and online it is way over priced.

I have very, very dry skin and Josie's Body Butters did not help my dryness much at all. It worked for about a few hours then my skin needed more moisture. It is way too expensive to have to apply 3 or 4 times a day. I still have the same jar I bought close to a year ago because I only use it on the very few parts of my bod that aren't overly dry.
If you really have dry skin, there are a lot of better butters and creams out there, many at far better price points. I have found The Body Shop butters designed for "very dry skin" (they list them on their website) to be much more effective and I have used them for quite a few years now. The Mango and the Shea butter are my favs and I often buy them on ebay for much less than paying retail.
Some drugstore brands are also good like Eucerin, LacHydrin, Cerave and Lubriderm and much better for really dry skin than Josie's, imo anyway and I have had a lot of time to compare since my skin has been quite dry for years and I live in a dry climate.
I was very disappointed when I got Josie's as I expected so much more after all the raving they do when precenting it. I have no doubt it works great on normal to slightly dry skin but for real dry skin concerns, it is a big letdown.

agree with @Wackers3.. many many drugstore brands are superior and why? they gently remove the very thin dead skin cells of the top layer of skin (if it has an AHA in it such as Lac-Hydrin) ..Lac-Hydrin is a must after my shower or bath now that I'm older my skin just has slowed slowed down
it helps with cell turnover and that upper arm goose skin that comes and goes, I then use any body lotion health food or even a small jar of Josie's and it becomes more effective. We use Lac-Hydrin in Nursing a lot for dry older skin and on diabetic skin so it prevents cracked skin that may get infected.
Cervae lotion is good since it's full of ceramides! it replenishes skin like Argan oil.

To each their own but I can't stand those Body Shop butters and I love Josies and hers work great for my dry skin. Eucerin has mineral oil and urea neither of which I like in my body products. I hate the way they feel on my skin. I tried some and tossed the bottle. My husband wouldn't even use it.

I don't know why anyone would buy argon oil from Josie on the Q. If you must have this overrated oil, you can buy it at Walmart, or any number of places. I don't get it when Josie (with the stupid colored hair) could stand there and tell this story about how she met this woman with beautiful skin, and she went on to make this special oil available to the women at the Q. Well, it's everywhere, she is not the only person selling this oil.
