No ... because I never used them.
I can do just fine with Avon and the drugstore.

I don't dare even look at Armani, Dior, Chanel, Clarins. OMG! How do you feel about it? I started shopping for alternatives but it's not easy.
Having worked for an entire decade for an international cosmetics company years ago, and had the fun of testing product for their R&D chemists, I now have a much different perpective.
First of all .... women are too easily bamboozled into believing that the more expensive a makeup is, the "better" it is. WRONG!
I have a friend who thinks her makeup line is "the best" because she likes the expensive packaging and containers it comes in. I almost laughed at her one day .... until I realized she was actually serious!
I guess I also find it rather surprising that women think they have to use any whole line or brand, exclusively. Where does that come from? Most cosmetic companies have a "star" .... their top seller, and they then try to shove the rest of it at you if you like their star.
While many of us have specific issues (or idiosyncracies) that affect our cosmetic-buying decisions, I think we are always better served with spending our $$$ on better skin care (for our needs) .... and buy the least expensive makeup that does the job we need it to do.
Personally, I think women waste a lot of money on things that are only "okay".

I think if you love the pretty packaging and the lux look, that's as good a reason as any to buy it. Yes, I like things like that, but I've learned not to buy a bunch of stuff I don't need, buy a few things I love and leave it at that. I don't buy drugstore because so much of what was a disappointment and wound up not being used.
But that's ME. Just my own preferences. Not saying better, but that's my take on it.

Yes I am and I always wait for a great deal and free s/h. I like to buy things in kits too. I wont buy products in a dollar store and that are full of chemicals.

I buy what I can afford, I'm not trying to look like a movie star or model. I'm in my 60s and notice that many ladies my age look like they are trying too hard.

My issue is that I am so fair...and if makeup is the RIGHT color, I need very little of it to make great improvements in the way I look! lol
My favorite blush is by Rimmel in “Autumn Catwalk” which is the perfect shade and packs a great punch.
Baffling to me is why why it is called “Autumn” because it is not...it is pure cool pink.
I purchased lots to stock up.
Would love to find the “old” formula dermablend chroma 00; Clinique actually brought back my eye product “Touch base” in Canvas 26. I tolerate this product well.
It seems to me that very high-end cosmetics can use “chemicals” but yet not break me out. I just have to figure these cosmetics (Clinique, Bobbi Brown) know what they are doing.

The only high priced item I've purchased was a Trish Mcevoy eyeliner. I wanted to treat myself. Instead, every time I put it on, it made my eyes get irritated.
I buy all my makeup from Walmart and it looks fine. I have my pick of many makeup lines at an affordable price.

I don't really care. If it's out of my price range, I just don't buy it, look for alternate products, or stock up during sales if I think a product is really worth it.
I use some hair care products I think are expensive, but I buy them by the liter and on sale when I can and that makes a big difference.

Yes, I have been for years and years, but as I have gotten older ( in my 60's) I don't have that need for the high end cosmetics like I use to. I do like certain high end lipsticks, but that too is beginning to change. My skincare is my most important items I purchase, but I have been even finding less expensive in the drugstores. I still browse Sephora and Ulta and if it's something on sale or a promo I will pick it up, but it has to be something I KNOW I will USE. Laura Geller baked balance and brighten foundation is a staple for me. I try to buy either when on special or a kit that I know I will use at least 90% of the items.

But I have noticed that even my drugstore products are going up in price and probably will go higher.
Very true that even drug store things have gone up. Another thing that I don't like --- you used to be able to get items on sale for a certain percetage -- whether it was 20, 30, 50. Now, you have to buy 1 of the items at full price before you can get another at maybe 50%. This might be good if you are devoted to a certain item but if you are not sure, want to try something new, or like to switch around, it really doesn't make sense or give you any savings at all.
