Are Side Parts Returning?

I've noticed that Kelly on Live with Kelly & Mark is using a side part. She's been parting her hair in the middle for years much like the rest of the younger folks. The first time I noticed it, I turned the TV on late and it looked kinda wet. She did make a comment about the wet look, but I missed why it was wet that day. I hadn't really noticed since then, but today I noticed it again.

I can't wear a center part, so I'm always a side part although I'm working on getting as little a part as possible. Parts show off the grays more when they grow in, so I'm trying to keep only a couple of inches of part at the front.

Kelly has always changed her hair to a side part from time to time. Ryan Seacrest used to often comment when she did.

Personally, I think the side part is classic and really has never gone away.

Parting you hair on the side has never gone out of favor. Your face shape determines what looks best on you.

Some people can wear a middle part or a side part and others can only wear one or the other.

I have worn a side part all of my life, either that or I pull it straight back with no part. I middle part doesn't work for me.

As far as color goes, I don't color my hair anymore, so no worries, but I used to. I needed a color touch up every two weeks regardless of a hair part or not. My hair grows super fast.

@Trinity11 I agree that side parts are classic. I'd just add that I think they are more flattering on most people than center parts are. I have a "natural" side part which just adds to why I've never followed that trend myself.

I've had a side part since I was 25. A middle part does not work for me at all. They are getting more popular with gen z and younger.

I alternate my part. Sometimes I'll do a middle part and sometimes a side part. Although, every time I go to the beauty shop, she gives me a side part after asking which I prefer. I always tell her it doesn't matter.
