Anything Other Than Hydroquinone for Melasma?

Has anyone had any luck reducing melasma with anything other than hydroquinone? I like Obagi Clear but don't want to use it forever. I am a longtime Retin A user, and it has no impact. I have also used Dr. Gross' peel pads and his new ferulic + retinol brightening solution.

If anyone has had success with a non-hydroquinone product, please share. TIA
