Re: Anyone use the Vita Liberata self tanner?

Have you tried the Xentan Dark Lotion?  I have used this self-tanner for years and it works great.  Good color and it lasts.

I have used it and it is my favorite b/c it does not seem to dry me out as bad as the others.

Re: Anyone use the Vita Liberata self tanner?

I,was so excited to give VL a try last year that I purchased it at Sephora.  I've used St. Tropez for years but after hearing about VL I thought it maybe even better.  I was not happy with the results at all.  Then I repurchased St. Tropez , didn't open it right away but when I did it was a bad bottle which I had to toss.  So now I'm back to the drawing board.  Last Spring/Summer was not good for me with self tanners.

I have both the Vita Liberata and the Tarte Brazilliance. I like both of them but probably prefer the Vita Liberata better. It goes on easier, color shows up faster. I don't use the mitt but rather non latex gloves to apply. The Vita does not streak unless you don't blend well. There is no odor and it absorbs quickly. I've never had a problem with staining on clothing. I am light skin and have used the dark. I liked the color but when I ordered it last year I tried to get my second shipment in medium and they messed up the order. I'm ordereing this again today since the size is bigger and I'm getting it in medium. I don't use it everyday so it lasts me awhile. The Tarte brand works well too.

My very favorite tanner!  Great color and absolutely no odor!!  It does not streak, turn orange or transfer onto my clothes.  It also fades more gradually than any other I've tried.  And this TSV is a great value considering how much more you get than in the normal size. I recommend highly!

I purchased one of the Q's discovery kits a while back mainly to try the Vita Liberata. It wasn't blotchy...wasn't much of anything at all..

Went back and forth on the color and decided on medium since I can always add more. I'm only doing my legs so i don't want it too dark or my arms will look pale. We shall see. I guess I can send it back for the dark if it's too light.

I think there is a lot of red in the medium. I used it for the first time last night. I too am used to the "browner" color of St Tropez mousse.  What I love about VL is that it dries very fast and there is NO SMELL AT ALL.  However, if it's not giving me a tan color, why keep it?  If you look at the applicator mitt, all you see is red!

I purchased the dark and it is amazing.  No smell whatsoever, did not rub off on my clothing and looks natural.  I have not tried the medium, but it makes sense that the three shades would differ.  I was planning to change my AD to the medium (for my face) for the next delivery but not if its red!  I used the dark on my face and my face must have sucked it up like a sponge - it was about 4 shades deeper than my body or neck, so I rinsed it off my face immediately.  One application of the dark has my body looking tanned for ever 4 days now.  Not too dark at all, just looks like I got some sun.  I will skip the medium based on the "red" comments...I will use my San tropez on my face even though it smells and Doesnt last nearly as long.
