I've been using it for awhile now but was shocked to read today there are lawsuits against the company claiming hairloss and scalp sores. Yikes! Guess I'm done with this line.

My daughter tried this brand.  It was a little too drying for her and she gave it to me to try.  I liked it pretty well.....until I discovered WEN.  I know WEN has had legal troubles, too.  I haven't had any issues with either Monat or WEN but for now I love WEN.

I've been using it since last summer, but I got started on the wrong formula, and it was very drying. Finally on the right formula for my hair, and while I do like it, especially the oil I just received, I do think it's awfully expensive, and to try to get one their website and get anything changed is almost impossible. My hairdresser and her salon are now using it, so she's been helping me with any issues. She's put me on a hair product diet (!), and as soon as I've used up everything I've got, I'd like to try some different products, like maybe the Alterna Caviar shampoo and conditioner, or Nature Queen. In the meantime, I still have a lot of WEN, which I still love, and will keep using, probably forever! I haven't heard about a lawsuit against Monat, tho.

Wonder how long all the big YouTubers will continue to push their Monat business via their sites....this is going to be interesting.

I typed "Monat lawsuit" into my search bar, and found a site where there were a lot of comments, some from professionals. The results seems to be pretty mixed on results and whether or not it damages your hair, and some said there is no lawsuit. I think Monat leaves my hair cleaner for longer than WEN, but when I'm done with all my Monat, I'll stick with WEN. I use a clarifying shampoo once a week when I'm using WEN. Still kinda playing around, my hair just seems to have stopped growing, I'm a lady of a certain age (lady might be pushing it!), and I've been under no end of stress for the last 3 years,altho that now is getting better. That's why I'd like to try other brands of shampoos, altho I know ANY brand isn't going to make my hair grow.
