I am looking for a good sunscreen any recs? The Supergoop good?
‎04-21-2014 12:57 AM
I've never heard of it, but I'll go give a look.
I HIGHLY recommend Suntegrity -- www.suntegrityskincare.com
Someone has mentioned that the baby formula is essentially the same as the "primer" formula but without the fragrance -- it costs less. Haven't tried the baby formula yet, but I will when I run out of my current stuff.
You can get a sample for $1.95 to try it. They also have tinted shades -- samples available for those, too.
Edit: Just checked out Super Goop -- not for me. I don't care for chemical sunscreens.

I thought Super Goop products were all natural. They are organic... what chemicals are in them. I am not good with ingredients. I know I should be.

Only the ones with the blue stripe have the mineral sunscreen, the yellow stripe has chemical. I notice the serum doesn't have any stripe on the bottle, just to be confusing. I looked it up and it does have chemical sunscreen. Oh, the box has the yellow.

I have and it's light and nice, I'm not positive how well the sunscreen part works, but Supergoop Sunscreen in general is awesome. I used it 2x's on an 8+ hour canoe trip last year and did not burn. I HIGHLY recommend Supergoop Sunscreen, I have the huge pump for face & body.

They are overpriced chemical sunscreens in my opinion. If you're going to slop avobenzone and the like on your skin, might as well use Neutrogena.

It is really expensive, but I usually burn if I'm out in the sun that long on a long canoe trip no matter how much sunscreen I put on, and with Supergoop I didn't burn at all.

I got the big-daddy size one when it was on last year's beauty with benefit. It is only SPF 30, but it works great for me putting it on before I head out on the trail.
ETA: No smell, doesn't feel greasy, and no bad side effect that I can feel, e.g., break out.

I got mine from the BWB last year too, it's very nice and feels like lotion going on, not greasy.
