I remember using a face wash product in the 60's that came in a round cylindrical cardboard shaker, but I don't remember the brand.

@charlygeorge, I think you are thinking of Swiss Performing Extract and I believe they still sell that product.  I used to use that years ago.  That is a moisturizer.

I use the Solid Milk Cleansing Grains until it was no longer availabe. When they took it off the counter, it became a "request" product meaning.... they still had it in stock but ONLY if you asked for it by name. The sales person was not permitted to suggest it to customers.

 

I think many of the old EL products were FAR BETTER than what they sell now. Shame.
