Re: Anyone ordering The Perfector?

I purchased one last year, probably the last time it was the TSV.  It got so tangled in my hair I thought I would have to cut it out!  I had to walk away, sit down, and contemplate what to do.  But with a little more calm wiggling, and slightly softer swearing, I got it out.

I have curly, textured short hair, like the QVC model Sue, who always models for Calista products.

I chalked it up to my user error. But I am not willing to give it another try.

@CANDLEQUEEN, I already have a Perfector, but I'm considering ordering another one as a backup.....yes, that's how much I love it. I had tried other somewhat similar products and never had much luck with them. Ordered the Calista Perfector over a year ago, and use it every day. My hair has so much more body and the exact amount of curl that I want. I find it's easy to use and also do the 10-second hold as shown in the video.

Regarding frizz, no - it doesn't help my frizz much. I still need to use a flat iron in the one section of my hair that's frizzy. Also, I've found that my hair does not tangle in the Perfector as long as it's brushed out and I slowly curl my hair around the brush part.

I definitely recommend it since I've been using mine for over a year. It's worth the money because of th results I get....body and the amount of curl that I like.

Re: Anyone ordering The Perfector?

I got a Perfector when they were first on Q and I love mine! I used it a lot when I was working. Not so much now. I have almost shoulder length fine hair with just a bit of a wave to it and it took the curls very nicely. You do have to hold it in place for a bit to really get the curl.

What did it do to her hair?  Haha.  You have me curious.

I have a curling brush that looks similar. I’ve had it for some time and it works just fine. Cost less than $20.

I thought about it for a little bit, but too many negative reviews made me decide to pass.

Re: Anyone ordering The Perfector?

I bought the perfector about 3 years ago. It’s probably a good product for most heads of hair, but not for mine. I have very fine and thinning hair and it got tangled in it on my first try. I stopped, untangled and repackaged and out it went. I had high hopes. That being said, earlier this year a comb like perfector was offered. I tried again and because it doesn’t wrap around it worked great and I was able to keep it and I use it and love it! So my advice...give it a try. I like the hairsprays from Calista too.

I bought one some years ago (may have been the original) and they may have changed and improved it since then, but it really didn't do much for me so I wouldn't have recommended it.

I did, however, buy the Head Kandy Perfectionist when it was a TS on HSN some months ago, and I love that!  Glides through my hair, smooths the frizzies (but I don't live in a humid climate) and gives me just the right amount of curl where I want it.  But I do see some negative reviews on that one too, so I guess it depends on what you are looking for, your hair length and type, and how you handle the tool.
