Anyone heard of/tried the Tua Viso or Tua Trend? (similar to NuFace)

Stumbled upon this on Essential Day Spa. Apparently it's a facial exerciser that's made in Italy, has been around for years (the Trend is the newer version), and apparently was sold on QVC in the UK (it no longer is)

What piqued my interest is that you don't have to use gel!!! I HATE using that gel with the NuFace! The Viso is a hand-held device, like the NuFace, but looks more ergonimically designed. Tap water is poured into little wells to keep the two sponges (think: the two "balls" on NuFace) moist.

Reviewers seemed to feel that the Tua did a better job of lifting than NuFace, in fact one reviewer said if you're under 35, go with the NF, over, go with Tua

I was ready to order (one site I was on it was about $200 - figured I still had time to return my NuFace if I preferred the Tua), but didn't really see any more recent reviews than 2009!

Apparently Nanci sold the Viso on NCN back around that time, too.

BUT ~ What concerned me is there were a few reviews stating it had produced wrinkles where none had been before - especially around the eyes and the forehead. This device really MOVES your face, unlike NuFace. When I watched a demo on the forehead, the eyebrow shot up and yep, there were the wrinkles that appear whenever we raise our foreheads. I have to think that those constant expressions are what CAUSED those wrinkles to begin with -- do we really want to, essentially, keep making those expressions when we don't need to?

The Tua Trend looks like a lot more hassle, doesn't even look like the same device, and there were a few displeased reviews commenting on the difficulty of use, although the treatment is supposed to be much more advanced and targeted.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone here had tried a Tua, or have even heard of it

Thanks!

Last gasp desperate bump. Although I guess the answer is a resounding ""no"".

No, this is NOT a last gasp!!! Maren, I do know about the Tuo Viso and I did check into that before I bought the Myotone. My research was for the Tua Trend and it really was beyond my financial expectations. Would have cost 499.00 and plus shipping. I could not justify that amount. Then I researched about the twitching thing on the face and I just did not want to do that. True microcurrent that I get from the Myotone is what I really want and so far so good. Been using the Myotone for almost a month and can not say anything bad about it. Increased firmness beyond my expectations. My sincere thoughts on all these devices but my personal thoughts--Myotone. Love the site Truth In Aging. com.

Sorry I did not see this earlier Maren. Regards.

Yes, I was asking about this before I learned of the optimal uA output and learning the visual contractions ultimate defeat the purpose of what we're trying to achieve.

I watched the videos and looked at the instructions for the Myotone and it is just so similar to NuFace. I read where NuFace is the correct current, so there's nothing really to make me transfer to the Myotone except the size of the spheres. I'm still giving it some thought.

Marta said she found far better results with the Myotone than from the NuFace, and I'm trying to figure out just why that would be. Any ideas?

No Maren, I do not know why except it was the older model that she was selling so maybe in the mean time she heard about the myotone and tested out the device and then decided to sell it at her site. It really is nice that the guy that demonstrates it's use using the basic and then the advanced method and placing of the electrodes following the arrangements of the muscles of the face and then going in the opposite direction. Holding for 4 seconds and repeating 4 times each placement and then the gliding is the key with this. He really explained it well. I am sure the Nuface does just as well. If I had the Nuface I would do the advance technique with it. It certainly would not hurt to try that. You may be pleasantly surprised. I see right now the Myotone is on back order and is to be available on 3/26 but they are taking preorders at the Myotone site. The TIA site may have it by then also. I was just so fortunate to get mine with 20% off and I went through Mr. Rebates at TIA. Bella, you just may want to check it out. She does run a lot of sales and specials. You could sign up for her newsletter also.
