Anyone Thinking Of Buying A Wig

I never seriously thought of purchasing a wig, but I am now! Not knowing when I'll be able to go to the salon for a cut and color, I'm thinking about putting a wig on my head, being done with it!

Yep. I've been looking (and looking) at a little catalog that came in the mail about a year ago from The Wig Company. None I've seen on QVC appeal to me. Some of the styles yes, but the hair texture, No. There are some really nice looking ones in this cataglog, which is actually more like a booklet. But I want to go on-line and read some reviews of various brands before taking the plunge.

There's a wig shop about 5 minutes down the street from my house but they've been closed. Seems to me they should qualify for the Essential Business list! Don't you think?

@I am still oxox   I purchased one from Q the same silver color as my hair in a straighter style maybe a year ago. I haven't worn it more than several times. I agree it is hot and tight no matter how I adjust it. It still feels and looks like a wig...also artificially shiny. Maybe they'd be better if human hair, but expensive & Q doesn't sell those.

I may just have to buy a wig if I keep cutting my own hair.

No wig for me. My hair is very thick and adding a wig would make me feel like I have a tossel cap on. I am getting used to my longer length but my blonde highlights are beginning to look pretty drab. I will just wait it out.

I thought about it but since my hair is still thick it would be way too hot.  I think I will stick with a pull back ponytail.

Re: Anyone Thinking Of Buying A Wig

I think if you want to wear a wig, that is great.  For me, I look at it as we are all in the same boat with color and cut, so no one really stands out.  Just going to wait it out with the many in the same situation.
