I have been told I need Invisalign by my dentist due to changes in my bite and my teeth shifting somewhat. I had braces when I was young, and most people cannot even see where I would need them unless I point it out. She said I would probably be an "express case" 5-6 months. I consulted with an orthodontist whose price for express was around $2000, but she couldnt' believe my dentist told me that was all I needed. In her opinion, I would need treatment for approx 1 1/2 years and $4000!!! I have scheduled a consult with another orthodonist as I feel they have more experience in this area than a dentist, but I am curious of other people's opinion, cost, results, length of treatment, etc. Any advice would be appreciated. btw, she said the cost of regular braces and invisalign would be the same.
