I am a huge animal lover,,all animals. I have never killed any type. This morning on my way to work,,still dark...I turned off a main road onto another main road,,not quite as busy but still...I started up the street and before I could see him, there was a cute duck standing in the middle of the road and next thing,,I heard clunk,,I hit him! I turned the car around hoping and praying that maybe I just nicked him and could take him to emergency..but he was dead. I pulled him out of the road and put him on the side so he would not keep getting run over,,but it broke my heart. I can't stop crying. I still see his face right before I hit him...it was a shock. Anyone that has ever hit an innocent baby? How do you make yourself not feel so guilty???????
