Very hard to understand and she doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about most of the time. I will ask for someone else next time. When she messed my order up, I was trying to order 2 styling creams and a RTM and she sent me the piece set with the Root lift powder, Glossing serum and a styling cream. Not even close, ha! Then when I tried to explain how my order was wrong she kept saying "no I see here you ordered the 3 piece set" Ahhhhh! I finally asked for a supervisor who understood immediately and offered free shipping on my return and a refund when they received it back.Bethany, see if you can get someone else assigned to your account. I know you don't call them very often, but you should be happy with your rep. They'll accommodate you.
I call them every month or two to ask about the oils. My rep has a heavy southern drawl and a deep voice. Maybe that's why I call every month or two!

lol @ southern as a second language
I didn't know they sold a Root Lift Powder. If the SC and GS that I ordered last night work well for me, it's great to be able to get them from GR!
Edit: I looked at the VRL. I thought it was a liquid. That's not a product I need.

I'm thinking about switching to GR, curious as if they give coupons & deals if you are on auto-delivery?...or does the price remain consistent. Can you switch the scents every shipment?
08-31-2014 07:02 PM
sea, once you are a member, they send you coupons very frequently.
Keep in mind, you are on auto delivery and easy pay. There is no way around that. There is no "if."
You can change what's in your kit by calling and you can change the frequency of your deliveries online.
The maximum for the deliveries is every 20 weeks. I don't pay for shipping, ever (coupon) and my last kit of 3 CCs was 20% off.

Thanks Honny. I'm a WEN newbie, & think GR would be a good start to build up my supply, & since you can change the scents, its very tempting.

sea, welcome to Wen!
GR is very liberal with their samples. Even though their recommendations are pretty accurate for most, if there is a CC you want to try, they will send it to you for free.
Also, after you become a member, you will get free shipping for life, as well as discounts on purchases.
I have nothing bad to say about them, though I wish they carried the oils.

Just a reminder that some of the GR formulas are slightly different than the ones sold at Chaz's salon and the Q. Just verify before you commit. I remember that a couple of the core formulas that are typically wheat-based are actually soy-based from GR. If you have a wheat allergy that is great! But if your hair prefers the wheat formula you may not be as happy. I think the Lavender is one that is wheat-based from Q and Chaz's site but Soy from GR.
Honny can really help you with this because she has a lot of experience with GR and loves the deals and CS she has had with them.
ETA - I have no idea why some of the formulas are different. I used to think it was because of the wheat and they had to change to soy for international distribution. But Sweet Almond Mint is still wheat-based from GR and that is distributed internationally. Does anyone know why some of them are different?

KJPA, because GR distributes internationally, they are subject to different regulation that require them to have different ingredients.
Thank you for bringing that up! I don't have allergies or sensitivities to the ingredients, so the differences aren't on my radar. They (GR and QVC CCs) work the same for me.
GR Lav has hydrolyzed wheat protein; I just looked at the ingredients label on my bottle.
