I'm thinking about becoming a consultant. I know I have to sell 1200 retail value in the first year to keep consultant status. Do you know if my own purchases count toward that goal?

It used to. They encourage stockpiling so you can deliver kits to people ASAP. Unless it's changed, there is no way they know if you're ordering for personal use or a customer as not all customers wish to sign up for the discount. Keeping stock on hand (especially the RE9 travel  kits) was great as often consultants would buy them from you.
