Soy protein and only 7 grams.  If I'm getting a meal replacement I expect a lot more protein than that, and no soy!

@RainyDayGal

Yeah, that's what stopped me from even trying this one ... only seven grams of protein?    Seriously?

MIx it with some plain greek yogurt - no more  low level of protein !!

I want to try a good meal replacement to get a handle on things. I would like to use it for breakfast since I have gotten into the awful habit of sometimes not eating breakfast and then get doughnuts at the convenience store on my way to work.  i am 53 and went through menapause and the pounds are just mounting up (of course I am older now can't eat like a younger person anymore!)  I know I should plan out meals etc but my question is about the Andrew Lessman Secure.  Soy doesn't agree with me too well and I know he has whey protein, but is his good or does anyone know of a better meal replacement?  I know on Evine Consulte Beaute has one that has pea/rice protein, but  the reviews say it tastes bad. Any suggestions???

@BetsyDoodle I drink premier protein shakes (from costco) just about every day for breakfast- strawberry or vanilla. 30 grams of protein, very low fat and sugar- lots of vitamins and minerals too. It really kick starts my day with a boost!

These shakes are perfect.  They do the job, are delicious and affordable.  Wouldn't be without them.

This is just an option -- but it may be helpful.  And, it would be very cheap AND healthy.

About 25 CENTS PER "meal replacement."

Here's the idea:  1 tbsp of chia seed in water.  It won't aggravate your stomach and, if anything, is helpful on balancing hormones.  Plus, it has a lot of fiber, magnesium, calcium, antioxidants, etc.

Also, there is no issue of soy isolate protein or whey (which has all the downsides of dairy).  And, the chia seeds would not have pesticides, chemicals, etc.

No strong flavor/taste, too!

Again, just a thought.  But, it's cheap (1 tbsp comes out to about 25 cents per use) and very healthy.  (If you google chia, you'll see a ton of benefits from it.)

Worth a try.  You might be surprised how filling it is.

I do not care for soy and did not like the taste of Secure. IMO, there are not enough caloriess or protein to make this a good meal replacement for me.

@nyc1 I didn't think about almond milk. I can't drink it because I just can't get into the flavor, unsweetened or vanilla, because I'm a cow milk lover for drinking milk. I could add almond milk to the Secure or regular protein powder, and have more protein as well!

Re: Andrew Lessman Secure vs other meal replacements

If anyone knows of an equally good tasting meal replacement I would like to know about it. I personally don't like HSN and wish I didn't  have to buy this from them. I love Andrew Lessman's products for the purity and overall quality. So far I have not been able to find a comparable product,

I love Secure.  Tastes so good.  I put it in my blender with a banana some strawberries, some ice and almond milk and it makes a very tasty smoothie.  I use the Vanilla.  I've used berries, mangos, etc. to add as well.
