Never heard that term, more familiar with "bedhead" which seems to be what we see much of today.....hair that appears to need styling or combing, as in messy and unkempt....

I've never heard that but if someone said it to me I would consider it an insult.  That it looked like I had plastic hair.

I'm another one who has never, ever heard anyone compare a person's hair to doll hair. I'm 71 and have lived in 2 states....it's a new one to me!

I'm 72 and I use 'slang' but I've never heard that expression. 

I live in Northern Va.  I've never heard that expression at all.

I asked my daughter who now lives in Colorado and she's never heard that expression.
