An Email from SKINN Cosmetics

Today must be the day for emails regarding beauty products.

Just received an email from SKINN saying that as of Feb 1st, their prices are going up so if you want to subscribe to any products at today's prices, do so now as they won't  increase the subscription prices that are already in effect.

I have the DWP serum on AS through SKINN's website as I got it at a great sale price last Fall.  The rest of my SKINN products are on AS with HSN so will keep those there.

It'll be interesting to see what the price of his TS later in February will be.

@JudyL  I got it today also.  I went to peruse the product offers on Skinn website.  There were not any Pep40 items.  I wonder why?

@pdxlalesley  - don't know as I don't use those products.  Maybe they are only sold on HSN?

Re: An Email from SKINN Cosmetics

@JudyL  I think Skinn will lose some customers, as it is I find it hard to pay some of the current prices.  I have been with Dimitri for so many years, but I would feel manipulated to buy/subscribe what I like to use based on the plan described in the email.

I get the whole prices-are-going-up on supplies but I will likely stop buying from Skinn.  Was nice while it lasted!

Re: An Email from SKINN Cosmetics

So, I guess only people who buy from their website that got the E-mail?  I'm currently using his neck serum and have used the Pep-40 line in the past.  Both are just okay IMO and I'll hopefully be going back to Gold Bond neck cream when I run out of the Skinn.  An E-mail like that would totally turn me off.

Denis of Tweak'd has been talking about price increases in his last couple of visits, and I've noticed Perlier is always selling stuff at ridiculously low prices compared to their supposed normal price, and then warning that you have to get it now before the price goes back up and it won't be on sale again anytime soon.  Why would I want to buy something and then not be able to afford it if I actually liked it?  As it is, it seems everything I like gets discontinued.  This would just add to that disappointment.

I have received email from people that I know are deceased.    Lots of phishing and scamming going on...

@Icegoddess  - No not just the people who buy from their website. The letter was also posted on Facebook.  If you don't buy from his website or sign up to receive emails from his website, how do you think they are going to notify you?  Also, on his visit in December and his visit a week or so ago, he did mention prices were going to have to increase.

@pdxlalesley  - not sure what you mean you would feel manipulated.  If you buy the product(s) now at the current price and on subscription which is a savings of 15%, how is that not a good deal?  You are saving money over the soon to be increased price for as long as you stay on the subscription.  If they are products you are already using why not get them now on subscription and save money?  If you want, you could get them later at the higher price but that seems silly.

@JudyL  That's my point.  The E-mails must have only gone out to people who bought from his website, not the ones who only bought from QVC.  I don't follow the Skinn Facebook page.
