I have no issues.  I see Amazon vans everywhere I go.  I get everything fine.

@stevieb   After reading the posts on this topic I had an issue with an item ($5.00 item) being shipped USPS and not fitting inside my mailbox so necessitated me waiting in long line at P.O. to retrieve.  I said to myself:  "NO!!

I had successfully received all the other 21 items in my Subscribe&Save selections for the month.

Called CS and instead of IMMEDIATELY accommodating me by apologizing the the mishap (I specifically requested deliveries from their own drivers or UPS and it's noted on my account), the CS woman called USPS for clarification as to why it wasn't delivered (I already told her it wouldn't fit in my mailbox!!!)

Amazon CS returned to phone (after holding for 6 mins) and apparantely couldn't or wouldn't resolve this issue with a new shipment through UPS or Amazon delivery, so I hung up!!

I will call another CS agent tomorrow to resolve this idiocy because with the $$$ I spend with Amazon, it is inconceivable and unfathomable that my request on a $5.00 item wasn't expedited and resolved.  Also, in this one instance (first one I've had with unsatisfactory outcome) I wasn't sent the usual CS email with inquiry regarding my satisfaction with the level of service I received.  HMMMM....wonder why.

Re: Amazon...Is It Just Me?

[ Edited ]

@pdlinda  I don't seem to be getting as many of their frankly superfluous 'how did we do' emails either. On one of my many calls a few weeks ago, I asked the CS rep to elevate the call to a supervisor and she got quite testy, which has never happened before. I should say that I am almost always very pleasant and accommodating when speaking with CS reps, and avoid anything that could be construed as rude or demanding. The last straw after a week of glitches, late deliveries and items not left at my door, as per my specifications, was a Fresh order that never showed up. On that occasion, after waiting hours beyond the scheduled delivery time, I got my second inept CS person, who insisted I had to give it two more hours before they could take action. Subsequent to her, I was contacted by both a manager and the local dispatcher wanting to send my order out immediately. I declined, requested a refund and ended up at the grocery store.

I recently had a bad experience with Amazon customer service, in which I was told they could only honor my request to re-ship the single item they'd neglected to send if I was a Prime member.  Otherwise, I would have to re-order it and pay the shipping.  I should not have to pay shipping on a single item because their fulfillment employees made a mistake.

I'm not going to pay a membership fee to get the level of customer service I can get on any other major website.

I will only purchase from Amazon if there is no other option, or if the price difference is significant.  Jeff Bezos will have to get his yacht maintenance money from some other squirrel.

I haven't shopped or purchased from Amazon in about 10 years, and I doubt that I'll ever order from them again.  They got 'too big for their britches' as my mom would say.   Too many other places to shop.

So it's not just me (g).  Thanks for all the replies.  Amazon is on my to-do list for today.  Finally got to a supervisor yesterday and got disconnected...surprise!

We are prime members and order a lot.

We have had a few issues with with

"delivered" notifications when an item has not been

delivered.  Initially, I contacted Amazon, they said

to see if it arrives within 24 hours.  And every time

it has.

We order so often, that these few times have been

minor.

I think a lot depends on where you live.  A relative who

lives in Seattle receives items really quickly.  A son in

SF also has extremely quick service.

Usually, we receive items in two days.

I love Amazon Prime.  Never a problem.  I do however seek items that ship from Amazon.  It is worth the monthly subscription fee, for me, anyway.

Can I say again, love Amazon Prime?
