Am I the only one who dislikes Beekman's Ylang Ylang and Tuberose?

Just got my Beekman TS today and was surprised with all the raves about this scent how much I disliked it. Only smelled it through the wrapper and it reminded me of the smell of Pepto Bismol. Didn't find it pleasant at all. Was also surprised they just threw the TS in a box. Their specials used to come nicely packaged in it's own keepsake box.

nope...you're not the only one! everytime i hear how wonderful ylang ylang smells i shake my head...it's awful....can't even describe what it smells like....

I do not like any Ylang Ylang. The scent triggers migraines for me.

I love Beekman's ylang ylang soap and body cream. I alternate between that and the vanilla absolute. Maybe it's how it interacts with my body chemistry? I was at the ATM one morning and the woman next to me was raving about how wonderful I smelled!

@Blondelle Give Zum bar soap a try. They use essential oils to fragrance their soap bars. There are so many beautiful scents to choose from. I have been using for over 10 years.

I also don’t care for the scent. I never had it in the soap but ordered it in the body butter. Horrible stuff. Gave one unopened jar as a gift and thre the other jar in the trash.

I personally found it repulsive. It’s my least favorite of their scents. Goes to show you how personal scent is.

I don’t mind the Ylang Ylang soap. It has a very old fashioned scent to me but I am pretty sure I wouldn’t like the body cream. As for the packaging, the beautiful boxes are usually the bounty boxes. Soap collections haven’t had special boxing in my experience.
