Alpha Hydroxy advice?

I just purchased Walgreen's Alpha Hydroxy cream...it says that it may be used in conjunction with a moisturizer...has anyone had success with this Walgreen's brand?

Are there any tips on how to use this type of cream? I also bought Porcelana cream with the fading ingredient...can I use both...or just use the Porcelana as a spot treatment?
