I don't own any double ended brushes. I store my brushes vertically in a plastic makeup organizer I found at Target.

I don't like double ended makeup brushes either except angled brow brushes with a spoolie on the other end. All of those double ended gray handled IT Cosmetics brushes that I got with the CC cream I gave away until I had one that I pulled the concealer brush end off deliberately. I got the idea reading here how there were some complaints about the quality of the brushes so I wiggled the ferrul off one end and now I have a travel size buffing brush.

There is a product that is great for double ended brushes. I saw it at Nordstrom but its available at other stores too. It's called a Sigma Dry N Shape tower. You can put your brush in one of the rubber "clips" that holds the brush by the handle and doesn't smash either end of the brush. Love mine
