Hydroquinone -- at Walmart Ambi Fade Cream 2% or Nadinola 3%.  Always use sunscreen on your hands.

I used lavender and frankincense oils on a large dark spot and it disappeared in a few weeks.

@moon_gazer, I realize that you already have the spots and need to clear the ones you have.  In the meantime you can greatly help new spots from forming by applying sunscreen to your hands.  This is a oft skipped area of application of sunscreen, but very vital.  A lot of people wreck their hands sitting behind the wheel of their car.  They have sunscreen layered on their faces (moisturizers and in their makeup), yet they don't hit the hands.

Or the neck and dec either. Wherever the sun shines on your skin, that's where you will age the fastest.

You can always use 4% Hydroquinone on your spots and then apply your regular hand cream. Use sunsrceen on hands too.

Are you aware that hydroquinone is a carcinogen and is illegal in all other civilized countries but this one?

Yes, fully aware, but also aware that in the USA it is still the gold standard in treating dark spots, use it for a few months and stop, I swear by it, worked wonders for me, faded my melasma years ago and it has never returned.  And the posts about Ambi and Nadinola also contain Hydroquinone at lesser precentage. Derm docs in this country still prescribe it all the time. It is certainly not illegal in Canada. I consider that a civilized nation.

@151949

That's what caused the burns on my skin.   It was only on my hand for less than a minute and it started to burn.

Sunscreen also burns my skin.

Skinn Hand Restore. Sold on evine.com under the Skinn beauty brand. Made for hands w/age spots and has very good reviews.

I used this product 2X daily for one year and it did absolutely nothing.  The most any product will do is bleach the spots, which will return as soon as you stop using it.  I've used Dermablend to cover them and it lasts through washings.
