Acure skincare,anyone a fan,recommendations?

I have been using Origins skincare and really loving it but it can be pricey. In whole foods the other day I was looking at skincare as I buy my coconut toner there and saw Acure.they had some nice looking creams and serums and the prices are way more reasonable then origins. If anyone uses it and has some recommendations that would be great.TIA

Re: Acure skincare,anyone a fan,recommendations?

I have only tried two products from this line and liked both of them. I have used the argon oil all winter with my usual moisturizer at night and really saw a difference. I did not have that dehydrated look during the day. I have very dry skin. I also tried the Brightening Stem Cell Facial Scrub. I think that was the name. Sorry I just finished it up, but that is pretty close I think. It reminded me of Exfolikate. A very popular product sold here, but this was far less expensive. When I used the Acure scrub I liked it well enough that I plan to repurchase. I use these two add on products with the skin care I am currently using. I was pleased with the performance and plan to continue using them. Some of the other ladies on the board will be able to offer their experiences with cleansers, creams etc. it has received some attention lately.

I started with this line over a month ago. I use the Sensitive Facial Cleanser w/Argon oil + Probiotic (LOVE THIS STUFF) it is SO creamy and leaves my skin so soft! Only takes a pea size amount. Also use the Facial Toner for Normal to Dry skin. You can spritz about 3 sprays on your face or use a cotton ball. Use the Night Cream and the Day Cream. Really like both of these. The day cream has a citreous smell. They both leave a matt finish. 3 nights a week I use the Brightening Facial Scrub. This stuff is AMAZING! It is very thick and green, (LOL), but, it is great for Exfoliating. I have the Line Eraser, very emollient! I use this around my eyes and on my forehead. I am planning on picking up the Serum and maybe some Argon Oil. I have been on a prescription gel for my face, (still have breakouts at 56, ), and since I started with the Acure, I have not had to use the gel maybe twice and that was for only 2 small places! I do know my local health food store is having a 20% off sale for the whole month of March, maybe your location is as well. Also, I noticed on Lucky Vitamin.com they are having a sale on Acure.

Hope if you decide to give this a try, that it works as well for you as it has for me. Good Luck!

The night cream is very good, has a lovely natural lavender scent. I purchase the serum and was kind of disappointed that it's pure oil--but good if that's what you're looking for. I expected it to be more like a serum texture, good for my neck but too greasy for my face.

Re: Acure skincare,anyone a fan,recommendations?

I learned of the Acure line right here on the boards. I was searching for an excellent quality, organic, line of skin care that would not break my bank. I have been very pleased with everything I have purchased. I use the Night Cream every other night (I use RetinA on the other nights) and love it. Wonderful smell, not greasy or over emollient at all. I use the Eye Cream every day. Also excellent and not greasy at all. I use the Facial Cleansing Cream with argon oil and mint and love it. I also use the Brightening Facial Scrub and can compare it to Exfolicate at a fraction of the price. It is tricky to learn how to use it....it is moss green and crumbles a bit when you put it on your face...you need to add a bit of water initially to help it spread. But it is a great exoliator. I use the Line Eraser but only on my upper lip and corners of my eyes during the day. It is VERY thick and a teeny bit is all you need. Finally, I have used the Pure Mint and Echinacea Stem Cell Shampoo (volumizing) ... it is good, cleans beautifully without stripping, smells wonderful if you love mint, but I think I will not reorder. I have found the new Herbal Essence Naked 0% Volumizing shampoo is a good dupe for the Acure one and costs less. Over all, if you are looking for a good, organic, basic line of moisturizers and cleansing products, you can't go wrong with Acure. I will stick with it....until something else comes along that peeks my interest {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}...

The night cream is my no. 1 favorite - love the scent; I use the day cream, Marula oil (apply once daily); I also use the Line Eraser & eye cream. The night & day cream slightly firm the skin and although it's not permanent, it's still nice. If you are starting off, I would recommend the night & day cream & the Marula oil. My skin is in excellent condition (no dryness). You can purchase at iherb.com for a discounted price.

Hi luv pets, I did try Acure Argan oil & it smelled rancid as did another one I tried from wholefoods, both went back. I also didn't like the frosted clear bottle but if I did like it I would store it in its box or tranfer it to an opaque bottle. I have tried a few more & still prefer JM's which lasts a long time so worth the price.

I do love their Argan stem cell+Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner. Its the best for moisture & color treated hair, I have ever bought. Its a keeper.

Re: Acure skincare,anyone a fan,recommendations?

Hi Kabella! I am sorry you had a bad experience with the argon oil. I bought mine from iherb and have not had any rancid odor at all. I have not tried JM's so I can't make a comparison. The Acure company explains their packing on their website I believe. They mention the bottle is UV protected with some type of coating. I read it some time ago but I believe that's what they said. I do store mine in the box because I have so many bottles of products it is easier to find! I am glad you are enjoying the hair products. They are on my long list of products to try!
