Re: .? About the Emjoii pedi

From their website (I've also heard them say this same thing onair):

"I have diabetes; can I use the Micro-Pedi?Do not use if you have diabetes or poor blood circulation. If you have any skin conditions or other medical issues please consult with your physician prior to use."

Oops. I have type 2 diabetes and have been using the Emjoi for about 3 years. I wouldn't advise someone else whether to use it or not. I do have mild neuropathy in my feet so I am always careful and very observant - haven't had any problems yet. And yes, it *really* works!

Hi! Just an fyi/tip. I am a an RN & I'm married to a cardiologist.

I would recommend buying it, & bring it to your physician or the diabetic Nurse in the office. My DH tells all his pts who buy & use home BP monitors to bring it to his office, they check out how accurate it is:for example. I know how important foot skin care is & that would be the best way for you to know,IMO.

MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR RECEIPT for it,just in case they say no😀

I completely agree with this.  I was going to say lots of diabetics have foot care specialists and bring it to them is a good idea.

Always check with your doctor but I don't think you will have any problems with it. If you press the roller to hard it stops. I don't think there is any way to cut your heels/feet with this. It does really work. I love it. I use Beekman hand salve on my feet after using it.

I have my nails cut and my calluses filed down at the podiatrist's office. She is a nail tach - not a nurse - and she uses a dremmel tool to file the nails and calluses. Take it with you to the podiatrist and ask them if it is ok to use.
