About SPF...!

I see the lovely SPF moisturizer in the Miracle Worker line and I want to try it, but the lady in Sephora tells me I don't need that much SPF Unless I'm in the sun "all the time." then I see that Bare Minerals foundation has an SPF of 15 and think, "ok," then I see dr denese's day cream that has an SPF of 30 and wonder if I need that! I live hope in a jar but alas, there's no SPF in it! Same with the bare minerals moisturizer...will someone please tell me what my past-40 skin needs??
