AVON - True Color (Review)

[ Edited ]

I received my cream to powder foundation today.  It comes in a compact with a round sponge for application.  There is also a mirror in the compact.  Now this pleasantly surprised me.  This is a wonderful product and looks good on my aging skin.  It does not look like you are wearing anything.  I paid $7.99 but ended up only costing $7.25 on EBay.  The shade I wanted was not available on Avon online.  I would give this foundation a 4.5 stars.  I was able to select my color by looking at the shade charts online.  I would say the coverage is light to medium.   Cat Very Happy  Check it out, you Beauties!

Re: AVON - True Color (Review)

A major mall by me used to have an Avon kiosk.

The woman who ran it was lovely.  Unfortunately she closed shop and no more Avon at the mall. It was nice to see the products up close.

I so enjoyed stopping and picking up her Avon items. Great lip glosses, fragrances, eyeliners and love the jewelry.

I think Avon is under-rated.

So glad you found a quality product at a great price.

Re: AVON - True Color (Review)

I haven’t ordered Avon since I retired from work 2-1/2 yr ago. There used to be an Avon shop in a little strip mall not to far from me but I don’t know if it’s still there.

Enjoy.

@Chicagosuburbangirl  I was born in Chicago many, many years ago but now live in the suburbs.  It's nice to have a backup to my tinted moisturizer which costs much, much more.  You certainly can find a lot of nice products at Avon and wish they had some stores like Merle Norman (which I am allergic to) but it is nice to see the products up close.

Thanks for the information.

I haven't tried the compact version of True Color -- but I use the Avon True Color liquid foundation in the pump bottle.  I reeeally like it.  As you mentioned, it's not heavy and looks natural.  Now I'm interested in the cream-to-powder.

Our Avon shop at the mall closed a couple years ago.  (most of our mall stores have closed - it's a ghost town)    I haven't bought much Avon since it closed.

Poor Avon is destined to go under if buyers continue to buy their Avon products on ebay. Woman Frustrated

Re: AVON - True Color (Review)

@Katcat1 I spent summers growing up with Grandma in the city. Such good memories.

My folks just lived a hop over the city border. My dad still does.

One of my mom's friends was an Avon rep.  My mom had all kinds of stuff that was fascinating to me.  Must have inspired my love affair with cosmetics.

Makes me think one day I might want to be an Avon Lady.

Maybe just a passing fancy, but fun to think about anyway.

Think I need a bottle of Sweet Honesty now.

@ID2- any brand can be bought on EBay. How does this affect Avon?

Re: AVON - True Color (Review)

We have an AVON store here in our town. It is nice to go in & see the colors etc in person. If she doesn't have something you like from the catalog she'll order it for you and you can see it in person before buying.
