ARRRRGGGG My Skin Care is Ruining my Pillow Cases

I just got new sheets. I wash them before I use them. I used the sheets, and after I wash them my pillow case looks like I used bleach on it. I noticed this with some of my other pillow cases as well. It's only on the pillow case not the sheets. I guess I just have to use white pillow cases from now on. Anyone else have this problem?

Is your skin care i helping your skin??? It is only a darn pillow case... who cares?

Are you using Retin-A? That's what does it to mine. I've started changing my pillow cases every few nights because I read it's better for your skin. And I switched to using white linens only throughout the whole house as I grew tired of trying to match linens and accessories all the time. Now it's so much easier and I have a ton of extra white pillow cases. So I'm with gazelle -- if my skin care is working, I don't care if it's hard on the pillow cases.

If your skin care is harsh enough to bleach your pillow case, what on earth is it doing to your skin? I guess if you feel it's working, it's worth losing pillow cases.

his happened to me when my Children were teens, and using Acne products. The pillow cases get ruined. The products did the same thing to colored wash cloths that they used.

Retin A does that to my pillow cases too. My dermatologist warned me about it when he was writing my prescription. I also use Benzoyl Peroxide and it also stains them.

Apparently, the OP cares.

You might take your own advice that I just happened to see on another thread: "people are so jump down the OP's throat on every post.... gee, she just made a comment... move on if you do not like it"

That's why I only use white sheets. And towels. I learned the hard way in college (with the lavender sheets I just HAD to have, that turned pink!) from acne products. Plus, I can bleach my sheets and know they really got clean! Sorry that happened to you. Smiley Sad

same! All white sheets. Proactiv (benzoyl peroxide) bleaches sheets and towels...clothes. I'd recommend you keep buying whatever color sheets you like but buy a half dozen white pillow cases to switch out on your pillows.

Use soft, old towel on top of pillowcase. Ruin the towel nd not the pillowcase.
