I use Avon Moisture Therapy hand cream on my feet, hands elbows, fingernails and even my lips. It's inexpensive, unfashionable but highly effective. You don't need expensive Josie Maren to keep thing soft during winter. My big feet are soft as a baby's.

I've been using the Essential Alpha Renewal lotion since I read about it here. I have no idea where to insert it into my routine. Would it be the first thing after cleansing? Or serums first? Call me confused and uncertain.

My routine includes Retin-A every other night...that alone and nothing else. The other nights I use the Alpha lotion, alone and with nothing else. In the morning I rinse my face (I use a light exfoliating muslin cloth) then apply my vitamin C serum. I don't use AHA on my face during the daytime. That's just my preference.

You might want to avoid using AHAs with other acids (BHAs and vitamin C) which might cause unnecessary irritation. Also avoid using AHAs with copper peptides.
