I'm not offended and I get it, everyone is preparing for the June festivities.
However, as a relatively new person to the forum, I see more negativity from the "positive members" than I do from the "trolls!" Not just HD, but many others.
That dynamic is rather twisted to me. This is truly a supportive, informative, fun forum. But then when I see things like that, it makes me wonder what June will be like.

KathyPet, I think how much Wen you use would be based on the length and condition of your hair--as well as how often you cleanse.
My hair was terribly damaged when I started Wenning, so I used more, left it on longer, etc. But as I got the damage cut off, and *stopped* using heat tools, the condition of my hair overall improved and I didn't need to use as much Wen or cleanse as often.
Now 2 years later my hair is mid-back, healthy, full and thick. I cleanse maybe twice a week and pin my hair up at night...no heated tools ever! I don't have split ends or breakage at all--and I'm a natural level 3-4 that's been lifted to a level 10 very light blonde...and my hair is strong, healthy, shiny and simply has never been this healthy or strong. (Sorry to ramble lol)... Point is, I don't use near the amount of Wen that is recommended because my hair is in great shape now. Plus, your scalp adjusts to it over time so your oil level is balanced--I used to shampoo every day--maybe every other day if I was really pushing it lol--but with Wen, even initially, I was able to go 2 days without cleansing--and now I can stretch it out to at least 3 or 4--even a whole week if I don't feel like cleansing...just spritz on some replenishing treatment mist, pin up my hair and sleep.
Just as an aside too--I bought gallons last year and still have plenty left...So you may not use as much cleansing conditioner as you think.
Hope that helps ![]()

Why do you think they sell it by the gallons? I kept buying and buying but every time I used it, it made my hair look dead! I thought, "Annie, you aren't washing it off enough". NOPE! Then I though, "Annie, you use too much". NOPE.
I thought it was me. Well, maybe it is my hair. The bottom line is I have tons of this stuff and keep giving it away to my friend (I even have the gallon jug. She's a wonderful friend and she honest to goodness loves the stuff.
It cost me sooooo much money, I just can't give it to her all at once, so I keep handing it over. Maybe I'm a good friend to have if you like Wen.
I think he seems nice and I love his dogs. I just get bored to death watching him over and over all weekend.
I guess I'll be saving money when he's on.

Both okiebug and MissKlynn offered a better explanation than I could. I start posting last fall, but was a "lurker" long before then. I stopped posting last Dec/Jan, I think. Between a family illness and overall nastiness on this forum, I didn't want anything to do with it. (My outlook is that I don't want any drama in my personal life......I surely don't want any in a hair product forum, lol).
Some of these ladies have posted for years, and have seen some pretty nasty stuff. All of it is uncalled for........for crying out loud, it's a hair care product!! For whatever reason, some posters like to stir the pot, fan the fire, etc........especially when Chaz is on air. For Wenners, June is like Christmas and birthdays all rolled into one........and I guess some posters just want to stir up trouble, especially during that time. I remember last June was particularly nasty.
Annnnywhooooo, you are absolutely right, this IS a supportive, informative, fun forum!! But, just remember that some of the longtime posters have seen lots of negativity that you haven't been exposed to yet. That has a tendency to make people be a bit guarded and somewhat suspicious.

Dox, I understand now why HD and others have done xyz. It's not even June yet, and I get it!
Also, I love your "no drama" mindset.

I’m confused here, are you saying your friend is giving you Wen, or you are buying Wen and giving it to your friend? Either way I would love to be either your friend’s friend or yours to be first gifted the gallon.

Woody, I'm confused that someone would buy a gallon of anything that never worked for her hair.
HD, it's not even June yet!

Lol, glad you "get it".........
"No drama, no stress" should be my middle name. I have an auto-immune disease that's primarily triggered by stress. There is absolutely NO way that a "troll" on a hair care forum is going to make me have a flare-up.......I've got better things in life to worry about. Like my man deciding he wants a new puppy........ :-)

Didn’t we also have another post some time back from someone who’s first purchase of Wen was a gallon?
