Re: A TIP for using hair conditioner

I shampoo my scalp first... I do not shampoo my hair other than maybe once or twice a month. I apply conditioner ONLY to my hair...never on my scalp.

That's easy if one has long hair, but how do you accomplish what he suggests with short hair?  I'm just venting as my hair is short and I know it's better to keep the conditioner off my scalp and hairline.   I just do the best I can.

I do as another poster suggested, rub a little bit between my palms and then lightly apply all over, because the ends of short hair are all over, lol. I’m a little curious now what my hair would be like if I didn’t use conditioner, may try it. I use Trader Joe’s nourish shampoo and conditioner.

The conditioner I use says to apply, massage and leave it on the scalp and hair for 3 to 5 min. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't...just depends.

I've never applied conditioner to my scalp. Why would I? Always to my ends and it helps immensely!!

Re: A TIP for using hair conditioner

@spent2much  this is exactly what I do. I have hair to my bra line and used WEN for about 6 years like it is intended love how healthy it makes my hair but I seriously have half the head of hair now, I am not on any meds and as healthy as a horse, all blood work 3 times a year is perfect. So, the only thing I can think is the WEN but I do love it mid shaft to ends and still use it for that just not on scalp anymore - still waiting for hair to fill in.....

I have short hair and rarely use conditioner, but when I do it's no problem.  Rub some in your hands and use fingers on the ends.  No scalp drama.

That's what he says, that doesn't make it true.  I don't apply conditioner directly to my scalp, as I recall the bottle says that.  But my hair grows out of my scalp and need conditioner on all my hair, not just the middle and the ends.  I so rinse well because conditioner can weigh my hair down.
