Re: A Buzz Cut - Could You Do It?

As a cancer survivor, my head was shaved at 19 years old. I'll take a hard pass.

I think she looks great and can carry it off just fine. I got kind of a modified buzz cut --it was a little longer--just before I started chemo----thought withshorter hair, it wouldn't be as traumatic when it started falling out--but I don't have the nice head shape or face shape to carry it off. And as it grew back it was very interesting to wear that style of hair at each stage of growth.

There are cancer warriors who proudly sport their buzz cuts every day. They do not look butch or any other word you want to use to describe women who refuse to squeeze themselves into societal molds of beauty.

They are gosh darn cheetahs. Every one of them.

Burn it down ladies!

Re: A Buzz Cut - Could You Do It?

I've had this type of haircut several times in my life.  Usually, because I just get tired of my hair and want wash and go hair for a while.  As a black woman with naturally kinky hair when it's buzzed the curl forms in about two weeks, so I'm left with a short afro. People tell me it's one of my best looks because.  My facial features and face shape are enhanced when I have less hair or it's styled off my face.

Re: A Buzz Cut - Could You Do It?

I wouldn't, my face and head shape were not made for a buzz cut.  Although, I think on some the look is beautiful, for instance, model, Amber Rose, she looks beautiful IMO.  Sorry I cannot post a pix for comparison.
