I used Wen 613 as a first cleanse and followed up with Wen Fig. 3rd day hair is moist and my curls are fluffy and bungee.
They also feel borderline brittle. I can't describe it any better. Is this normal? How frequently can 613 be used as a first cleanse? While I don't have a regular use for it, I have mixed it in with Fig or used it on my ends.
I don't want to overload my hair with protein, which is why I'm asking and not experimenting.

Thanks Beaches!
I want to keep using it because it does a great job at strengthening my hair. I just need to find a perfect balance.
Mixing it with my CCs doesn't seem to be enough, but using it as a first cleanse might be too much. I used it on my ends once, so I can't tell about that. Also, my 2nd CC has to be Fig for the moisture.

I can use them once in awhile for strength, but if I use them several days in a row, my hair gets dry and brittle. You just have to find the right amount for your hair. You could try just adding a pump in with your regular cc and see how that works. I like to use it for my second cleanse once every 1-2 weeks.
Thank you, Hilary!
I have over moisturized my hair on several occasions, so I definitely don't want protein overload. It was a nightmare for a few weeks to get my balance back (moisture-protein).
Adding it to Fig doesn't seem to be enough.
When you used the protein products on consecutive days, were you doing anything for moisture?

Thanks again Hilary. My Tea Tree and LAV CCs are being shipped, so I have a lot of experimenting to do. I haven't even looked into the oils yet.

I use 613 on my scalp only for my 2nd cleanse and I use a CC that my hair likes better on the rest of my hair (the ponytail section). I figure that way my scalp is getting all the benefits of the skincare ingredients in 613, and they really get a chance to work since I wait for 5+ minutes before rising out the 2nd cleanse.

Thank you, Finny. I became diligent about a 2nd cleanse after seeing Chaz on QVC last week.
I am seeing an improvement in the strength of my hair since using 613 somewhat regularly, but I still have some breakage on my ends. I'm going to try the reverse of what you do and keep the 613 on my ends 2nd cleanse.
