Re: 60's Ladies ~~~~~ Please Join Us For March!

Helen47--So glad that your DS had a great birthday and that everyone had a good time. I'm hoping that next week we'll start to have beautiful weather too. I have to admit though when I look out at my kitchen window and into the woods, it is a beautiful sight with all the snow on the tree limbs. There is a fox in the woods behind us and he/she likes to take the same path through out yard, he/she left the same exact trail yesterday and he/she did the last time it snowed. I sometimes see the fox out my kitchen window, the fox is an adult fox and quite large. Luckily we haven't met face to face.

Mochahoney--I'm so happy that you had a nice birthday and yes, birthdays are not WW days! Since I've been sick I haven't had much of an appetite, and I haven't had a glass of wine in over a week! I'm sure I've lost a few pounds but it will come back as soon as I start to eat normally again.

KatCat1--I do hope that when you go to the doctors next week, they don't find anything terribly wrong. DH said that I co-worker from KY made it to Wisconsin for the meeting and he said that they had 21 inches of snow, so our 6 inches looks pretty good right now. Luckily, they've been working hard on keeping the roads clear. The sun is out now but it's really cold. DH said it was 17 below in Wisconsin. I plan on making us a normal dinner tonight, no wine though, I'm still on my antibiotic. I don't know when I'll get back to the gym, probably not until next Tuesday. All that shoveling yesterday really exhausted me.

Hope everyone survived the snow safely and is staying warm! Can't believe we had 6+ inches of snow. Couldn't stand being inside anymore so went to clean off my car in the middle of the storm. I know it's dumb but sometimes you just have to get out. Then I cooked, which is also not good, I keep eating all day. Have a great day everyone it will be spring next week!??

Re: 60's Ladies ~~~~~ Please Join Us For March!

Good Very Early Morning! My husband left a few minutes ago; another early meeting. He had to get blood work drawn, so having an early meeting worked out well. Max and I are cuddled up in our family room with my fireplace going, feels so good. With the way most of you are still suffering in the freezing temps, I know our cool morning doesn't compare.....did I just hear areas hit hardest will be warmimg up soon? I'm hoping it's true.....

HAYFIELD, from the sound of things, I'm so glad you're feeling better. I've hever shoveled snow, but from what I've heard, it's a job. Being indoors day in and day out, though, and just wanting to get out, I'm sure is great motivation. As lucky as I know I am weather wise, what I'd give to look out my window to see everything covered with snow and even better seeing a fox! Still, this past Winter has been brutal for so many; enough is enough! Keep feeling better; I hope by next week everything will be back to normal for you....and you'll enjoy that glass of wine!

SHORELADY, did I see you say "we" would be driving out to your daughters? I hope you have company if the weather cooperates and you head out. I'm not sure how long of a drive it is for you, but it's always nice to have company. Wishing you a great day/weekend; I think of you often and always send good thoughts......

. SPAMMOM, I wasn't able to watch the steel jewelry show; it was my son's birthday and we were busy. I do have the initial ring, if it's the same one you bought. I think you'll like it. You can't beat the price! What are you and DH up to today? I'm just so glad you're doing so well....keeping my fingers crossed we hear from CINDY soon. Are you able to call her as well as send an email? Hope your DH is feeling good these "cold" days too....

max is wandering, I better get dressed and take him out for a short walk. I'll bring him back and finish on my own. I'm about at 4 miles now! Well, close anyway. I missed a couple days this week, so I want to get back on track starting today. LOVES, thanks for letting us know you arrived safe. Enjoy every minute with your sweet baby girl! Waving to MOCHAHONEY, FANCY, H2be, RetRN, MARTIE, KAT (Max sends lots of love to Ava (woof!), MarthainMD (keep warm!), PUDDLES (I check out the Cafe thread; so glad you're doing good and getting stronger), and all our friends I know I'm forgetting to mention......Have a safe, warm and happy Friday!

Re: 60's Ladies ~~~~~ Please Join Us For March!

Good Morning, Ladies. Finally, it is warming up -- it's about time. It really is hard to believe that Spring is only a couple weeks away but I do look forward to all the beautiful spring flowers popping up everywhere and the flowering trees. We have quite a few flowering trees in our complex. There are white flowering trees about 6 to 8 on each side of the road just before the creek and entrance to our complex. It really is beautiful in full bloom.

Hayfield, Sounds like you are somewhere in the Midwest. I live in IL (southwest burbs of Chicago) and yesterday it was cold and right now only 15 but going up to 40. Take care and be very careful when shoveling but it sounds like you know what you are doing. Have a great weekend, Hayfield.

Helen, Snuggling up with Max in front of the fireplace sounds wonderful. Pets are so comforting. I give ava her morning kisses & hugs each day. She will be 8 years old this year on april 15. She still loves to play but I am sure at some point she will slow down some. She sends love & meow kisses to Max.

Today I am off to the Ra doctor and then to Target. Target brand facial wipes are now good for eye makeup removal too so I buy them instead of Neutrogena's which are double the price. I also want to pick up some Zum bar soap (never dries your skin) and I use at the bathroom sink for my hands.

Enjoy your day everyone. I will come back later.

Re: 60's Ladies ~~~~~ Please Join Us For March!

Happy sunny Friday.

Sending warm wishes to all of you who had to manage through cold weather, ice and snow. We're used to it, so we persevere ... like the old Timex watch commercial - We take a lickin' and keep on tickin'.

The storm missed us, so aside from the cold ... oh, if it would only warm up ... it's not too bad. Temps should be in the 30's for the next week, so the snow should start melting. Good thing, we don't have anywhere left to put it!

I heard birds in the woods this morning when I woke up. Our little town has an old-growth forest, some of the trees were nearly fully grown when the pilgrims landed, and we are so lucky hear birds chirping. It's quite fun in the summer to ride our golf carts through the woods ... chipmunks, squirrels, wood peckers, cardinals, blue jays, mourning doves ... really lovely and peaceful.

I'm glad to hear you're all perking along, as my Mom would say.

Love to all ...

Re: 60's Ladies ~~~~~ Please Join Us For March!

Good Morning! Well, I finally got out to run some errands yesterday, the grocery store, the bank, dry cleaners, etc. The roads were clear. The sun is out today and it's going to get into the 40's. I'm off today but working tomorrow and Monday. We're also getting DS's old room together, I finally got a new mattress pad cover for the mattress and I'll iron the curtains and get them back up. I got my "special package" in the mail yesterday from DS. It's the 50th Anniversary CD of "The Sound of Music". Everything is about "The Sound of Music" for DS and his job this year. I'm listening to it right now on my DH's Bose the I got him a few years ago as a Xmas present. It's amazing the sound that comes out of that little box. There's a lot of extra orchastration on the CD, which I really enjoy. My children both played an instrument for years in grade school through high school, so I really appreicate listening to a professional orchestra after years of sitting through all their concerts.

Re: 60's Ladies ~~~~~ Please Join Us For March!

Helen47--That's so sweet of you to post a picture of a fox. There's common area behind my house and it's heavilly wooded and I think that's where they live. Sometimes in the middle of the night you can hear them calling, they make a sound like a very loud cat, it's kinda scary the sound that they make. I've only heard it late at night.
