6 MONTH BOTOX IS HERE

[ Edited ]

FYI.  If anyone here gets botox the new "SIX" month botox is out.  I don't think  too many places have it yet.

It only lasts 3 months with botox.  I don't have many forehead wrinkles or 11's because I have trained myself not to be too expressive or squint.

However, 6 months ago I tried it after doing it once a few years ago.  My Doctor said it will lift my lids and open the eye somewhat.  Well, guess what?  It did.

I just had the 6 months botox injections right before I had the "cool peel" treatment.  Hope they are right.  I'm counting the days and wrote it down on my calendar when I took it last Friday. lol.

PS.  This one takes a bit longer than 3,4,5, days to take full effect.

We shall see.

Do you know about the cost?  Is six-month the same, or nearly so, as three-month?

@ValuSkr  Honestly, I think it's a bit more money but then again it depends upon the individual and how many units you would need.

Pricing goes by units. (I threw away my bill as I had a "cool peel" treatment mixed into it so I'm not sure.  You would have to find a plastic surgeon or dermatiologist in your area who has it to ask.

I'm seeing him on Monday and will ask.  Pricing also goes by region of the country.  Big cities really sock it to you.

But if it lasts it will be really great.

I tried the regular Botox once and it had a weird result.  I guess they try to uplift the eyebrow by freezing/killing the nerves in other parts (at the beginning of the eyebrow). and then they leave the middle part alone with no Botox.  The middle part stays "up" and the other parts are relaxed.  Well I certainly had a curved eyebrow but the frozen/killed part made that part of the eyebrow limp and it crashed down about 1/2 inch, making it look in that area like I had a semi-hooded eyebrow in the corners closest to my nose.  I've been hesitant to try it again.

@santorini  Sorry to hear that and I understand.  however, it's all about the injector.  These med spas and PA's as they call them are definitely ones to stay away from and are scary.  I too went to a dermatologist office once and used a PA.  It was money thrown out the window.  Good to check reviews too.

A board certified plastic surgeon is best in my humble opinion. They injected you into the wrong part of your forehead.  Yes, it happens.    But with a good injector the results are beautiful.

This was by an actual plastic surgeon.

@Pink123  I'm envious of what you've had done and bet it looks really good. I bought the Westmore Eye Effects and it really helped smooth the lines under my eyes and I was happy. I'd be ecstatic with Botox and the Cool Peel, lol.

Well @santorini  not all plastic surgeons are talented either.  word of mouth or reviews are best.  I don't know how big your city is.

But if it's large you will have many more options.

I live for reviews and find them important.  And you know we have seen some really bad plastic surgeons in Hollywood, CA and their movie stars.  Some are fright night, ugh.  It takes research and a leap of faith.

@Pink123  Personally Iv'e never really warmed up to the idea of injecting botulism into my face. My last boss, an Opthalmologist regularly ordered it for a select few patients for eye issues they had. Anyway, he always had some left over and offered it us 5 girls that worked for him, and not one of us ever took him up on it. But hey, if it works for you, and I know alot of Women love it, enjoy.

Thanks @Frenchlop  I'm totally back to normal after Friday's "cool peel".  Still a little sandy feeling and a bit of peeling but not bad. However, it's my first session.  He says I will need about 3, I hope 2.  I would do it on a Friday if your working.  But again, I'm very fair so everything turns me red. On darker skin probably a bit red the first day and no big deal.   Not me though, ugh.

Oh I did have one brown spot on the left side of my forehead.  I felt him hitting it a few times and it's 3/4 gone but very red around it. It was about 1/4 or bigger an inch in symmetry.  This works but full effect will not be seen until I finish the course.
