Yikes...I know nothing about gel polish but whoever did that didn't do it right. Plus your cuticles look over grown too. I do mine at home...just clear and sometimes color. I take care of the cuticles also and only trim if I have a hang nail.
Many youtube videos on how to do this yourself....check out salon life she has great help and instruction for natural nails at home.
I would be concerned about the damage they caused under the polish also. I hope it can be fixed or removed without to much problems.

Now I'm seriously convinced, nothing will help! Had a Gel Manicure on Monday, today Saturday, just awful!!
This is with using cuticle oil, hand creams, and diligently wearing gloves. I GIVE UP!
Will go back to doing my own whenever I get time. I was a nail tech through the 80's -90's, I know how to do a good job...its just my lousy nails and cuticles ๐ช

I used to get my nails done every week in the 80's and 90's. Silk wrap, I think that's what it was called? Stopped doing manicures 23 years ago. Haven't given my nails much thought or attention in 20 plus years until lately. Started using Nailtiques Plus 2 Formula and it has done wonders for the length of my nails. My cuticles look like yours. Still a work in progress. I don't do a great job with polish, cuticles, etc. but it's good enough for me and I'd rather not pay to have it done now.

It looks like it didn't cure correctly. If you can, go back for a redo at no charge.

I dont think it has anything to do with cured right...look at space of growth near cuticles, and shabby overgrown cuticles. Was a lousy manicure, and now new growth is quite visible...she didn't butt up close enough. That said, my nails do grow out very fast...but C'mon, 5 days??
This is why I stopped doing acrylics, I can't keep up with new growth, (usually visible 2 weeks)...and no manicure or cuticles are done with acrylics. This is I chose Gel this time...but she didn't follow through...and now look. UGHHHH

This was not ptoperly applied. Please go back and request either a reapplication or your money back. This should never look like this when done in a proffessional salon. You are entitled to a new manicure or your money back.

Yes, instead of showing it to us, please show it to the tech who applied it, horrible job. Gel manis can look good for up to 3 weeks.

@Dazlin Honestly, I've never seen such a bad manicure (*sorry*) so agree with others - go back, show them, get your money back and never return to that place. Find another place and nail tech.

@Dazlin I've only had a couple of gel manicures. They lasted well over two weeks. You need to go back to the salon & have them redo the entire manicure. They are supposed to clean the cuticles completely & prepare them for the gel polish. This looks like they just slopped on the polish.
A gel manicure is supposed to last between 2 & 3 weeks.
