Re: “2024”, Everyone, Please Join Us!

Good Morning!

We've started taking down decorations and putting away. We'll do a little each day. We had such a good time yesterday. A couple great games and our DS barbecued some delicious hamburgers on toasted Brioche buns with butter lettuce, sharp cheddar cheese, tomato and thousand island dressing. So good!

@Hayfield , you're welcome! So glad you found us. We watched that game too. Wow! My team lost, but it was a great game! I hope to see you here as much as you can. Did you make your Manicotti and meatballs this year?

@MariotaMurielle , I agree! Just buy that measuring cup!

Thinking of @catwhisperer and @katte. I hope all is well and they stop by soon.

Have a great Tuesday Everyone! BBL!

@MariotaMurielle , this is beautiful. My heart goes out to your cousin. I can't even imagine her loss in such a short time. She's an inspiration for us all. I count my blessings every day..some days are easier than others.

Re: “2024”, Everyone, Please Join Us!

Good afternoon. Accomplished a few things this PM. Got the double coat hook at Home Depot so I can hang my Swiffer poles on a wall in the linen closet.

Bought the shallots needed for the citrus sauce tomorrow with the scallops.

E mailed the contractor & my family physician. I need a referral/ recommendation of an orthopedist who does hip replacements at a major medical center. Awaiting their responses.

Left word with oldest about helping me with turning in DH cell phone & getting account changed to be under my name. All the phone gets now is spam calls.

Almost done with the 1st part of season 5 of Yellowstone. I read this is the final season. I saw @SleeplessinSD  that one of the pre-quels stars Harrison Ford. I might be interested in watching them.

@MariotaMurielle  - I say buy the left-handed measuring cup!  Why not?  If it'll make your life when cooking more enjoyable/easier, then go for it.  I am not left-handed but had a friend who was and I remember her lamenting how things were backwards for her.  You should have seen her trying to teach me - I'm right-handed - how to crochet!  That was funny!

oh this made me laugh. my mother was right handed (I'm the only lefty in our entire family) and she tried really hard to teach me to crochet. it was so confusing because I had to do everything the opposite of what she was showing me. we laughed so hard, we just had to give up. I never did learn how to crochet.

Re: “2024”, Everyone, Please Join Us!

I learned something new today that definitely applies to me this week.

hurkle-durkle. it's an old Scottish term that means to lounge about in bed long after it's time to get up. I've done that every day since Saturday Smiley Happy

sending blessings to all.

here's a Vicksburg sunset overlooking the Mississippi River.

have a peaceful evening, y''all..

Re: “2024”, Everyone, Please Join Us!

Wanted to do hurdle durkle but might wait till weekend to do that.

Busy day -- transferred to new account only my cell phone & had to unfreeze temporarily one of my credit reports for them! Good thing everything was at my fingertips! While on one phone, used the 2nd to unfreeze the report. Was on the phone for over an hour!

Received my Amazon delivery late today & baby blue tablecloth felt more plastic like than polyester cloth like. It will be returned. I didn't even open the bag completely, just felt it & shut the bag it came in. Will keep looking for what I want.

Drove over to a local optician & left my driving sunglasses to get an upgraded RX. Should get them back in 2 weeks time.

By the time I got done with errands, decided to do the scallops with citrus sauce tomorrow. Having a sliced egg on top of lettuce for dinner tonight with some tea & a dash or three of some rum in it.

Re: “2024”, Everyone, Please Join Us!

Hi All!  Where did this day go?  Before I knew it, it was 4:00.  Think time goes faster now that I'm retired than it did when I was working and I don't always know what I do with my day!  LOL

Today, I did go through my upper kitchen cabinets and decluttered some items.  Then I went through my coat closet and changed out the old hangers for the velvety kind.  Went through some of my makeup and have started another box for Project Beauty share.   Not much in it but someone will get use out of the items.  Organized the donate pile and got it ready to go.  Will probably take next week to the donation center.   Have a mix of things this time to donate but not sure they will take all of it.  The clothes, kitchen items, picture frames should be fine but not sure they'll take the Christmas stuff now that the holidays are over.  If they don't, not sure what I'll do with the bag.  May leave it in the garage until next Summer/Fall and then take it back.

Hope everyone has a good evening.
