Re: “2023”~Everyone, Please Join Us!

Good Morning Everyone!

We've had light showers the last couple days. It does look like the sun is trying to come out now, but it's cold out there.  Not much new. I've done a little more decorating than I thought I would the last few days. It really is 'Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas' here now.  Our son and DIL have gone away for a couple days, and we're watching their dogs. They keep us a lot busier than Max does for sure. I hope Everyone's doing well and wishing all a great weekend!

BBL!

Re: “2023”~Everyone, Please Join Us!

Good evening! Did some toy & children's book shopping on Amazon this AM, then drove out to nearest Barnes & Noble to look at their Brio trains. I bought 2 different ones for toddler EP.

Did a grocery run & came home. Still sick, but Sudafed is drying out my sinuses so I am coughing less.

Painter finished painting the guest bathroom yesterday. See if you can find my Christmas decoration.

The walls were painted a pale blue. The color was chosen from the blue in the shower curtain.

Rain has moved in. Decided once I got home I stayed home instead of visiting another craft store for seasonal flowers. I am looking for a beige or light brown bud vase for eventual use in my master bathroom, hopefully that store will have something I like.

@JustJazzmom  - The bathroom looks great  I have the same soap dish and same Q-tip and cotton ball containers!  Nice flowers in the corner too.

Bed Bath & Beyond was great for those items. I also bought the matching waste basket to coordinate with the soap dish.

Re: “2023”~Everyone, Please Join Us!

Hi everyone!  Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday.

Started out rainy and chilly here.  The rain stopped during the morning and now it's just gray.

Not much going on here.  Decluttered some more Christmas decorations, did a load of laundry, finished up Christmas cards to relatives/friends that I don't see over the holidays, and that's about it.

Have been in my comfy cozy pajama/lounging type clothes all day.  Wouldn't ya know it, I go out to empty trash and recycling and all the neighbors seem to be out taking a walk or walking their dog.  It's been quiet all day otherwise!  Oh well.

Thinking about having pizza for dinner but haven't decided yet.  Take care and have a good evening!

Re: “2023”~Everyone, Please Join Us!

Still coughing from my cold but the Sudafed is drying out my sinuses to stop me from coughing.

I spent this morning choosing some cookie recipes to make for the Holidays. I try to make a variety.

I visited the other craft store in town but they are pretty much wiped out of seasonal silk flowers. I looked at their bud vases (a beige tan one no more that 4" high) for the master bathroom but they didn't have any I really liked. Might try Walmart, Target or maybe even a local nursery? If I went the Amazon way, there are pages upon pages to sort through.

I stopped in a local Home Depot for more heating air filters. I had used my last one & changed it on Thursday. Because of all the construction, the filter was gray in color. I normally switch them out every 3 months. I'm now good for the next 9 months! I like to be prepared.

Will be spending Christmas Eve with my oldest son at his place. They will be needing a painter to paint & remove wallpaper. I gave them my neighbor's contact info. They need a contractor too but not sure who can vent an upstairs bathroom exhaust fan to the outside. I think it might be a roofer that is needed. Hopefully they can get someone to do it correctly. The house they bought was built in the 1920's with various upgrades done. They want to do a few things before they move in.

Might be getting together with youngest son tomorrow. I may drive out with him to a Carter's to get a few items for the grandkids. Then we'll go out to eat. He is going to help me empty out the clothes from the guest closet for donation.

Some of the grandkids' Christmas shopping was done online yesterday.

It's been cloudy all day & some sprinkles tomorrow.
