Re: “2023”~Everyone, Please Join Us!

Hi Everyone

Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day  We got back from our trip yesterday.  Had a real nice time.  Picked up Blake and Bailey at the  boarding kennel.  Evidently Bailey had become ill and wouldn't eat  and could barely stand up.  We watched her throughout the night, but this morning she wasn't any better.  She wasn't eating, and was having problems breathing and was very unsteady on her feet.  We took her to the Vet this morning and decided to have her put to sleep.  She was 13 years old.  It has been a very difficult day.  Blake her litter mate is having a rough time.

@katte - I am so sorry for your loss.  It's so hard to say goodbye to our pets.  Went through that decision last October and I know its difficult.  Take care of yourself and Blake.

@katte, I'm so sorry about Bailey. it's a tough decision to make. if you decide to get that puppy, maybe it will help Blake through this hard time. and it might help you and DH too. Heart

we had huge thunderstorms again today with howling winds and lots of rumbling thunder. DH and Ezra got to spend some time outside before the storms and Ezra enjoyed chasing bubbles from his new bubble machine.

I bought several items online for nail care. today UPS delivered a box that felt like it was empty. when I opened it there was one little box of cuticle oil. talk about excessive packaging.

@katte , I'm so very sorry to hear about Bailey. It's heartbreaking when we lose our pets. They're like family. She was blessed to have you, and I hope you take comfort  knowing you gave her a happy, great life..

@JustJazzmom , those light fixtures have been on my wish list on Amazon for a while. I'd like them in a gold finish. I think they'll look great with the mirror..

@MariotaMurielle , our grands loved playing with bubbles too..lots of fun!

Everyone...

Re: “2023”~Everyone, Please Join Us!

@katte  Sorry to hear about your dog's passing. They really are familiy.

@SleeplessinSD  Originally those lights I saw on the .com Home Depot & it was mailed to me in an Amazon box! My light fixtures are with the nickel finish.

I think that even though the mirror has gold finish, seeing it will be on an opposing wall, the color police won't issue a citation!

The light fixtures have candelabra bases rather than the medium bases. The light bulbs I chose were LED & are the equivalent of 60W -- LED 9W with bent tip top.

I'm doing a lot of the leg work before I contact the contractor we had spoken with several months ago.

Now I'm amusing myself looking at switch plate covers for the master bedroom. The current plates are just white but I want to be a little more fancy.

have you ever had Snappower switchplate covers and outlet covers? they are covers with a built-in night light. most have a light adjustment feature now (off-dim-brighter). since I tend to get up a lot during the night (and since I have fallen in this house before we put in our Snappower covers and the bedroom was pitch black), we have put them all over the house. it's just enough light that you can see where you're going. I installed them myself so obviously, they are easy to install. I especially like the outlet covers, since they shine just enough light on the floor for trips down the hall or to the bathroom.

you can buy them on Amazon or their website.
