our town is going dark at 1am to 5am tomorrow morn.

something about the electrical grid for my town has to be checked out for federal mandated performance check.

did normal chores, did morn walk,not much else.later guys

finally got power back on by 623am, some areas of my town got power on way before 5am why did it take so long for my part of town to come up sure hope we are done with the power outages garbage.

did morn chores by flashlights today.

hung out clothes, super windy today.

Stopping in before heading upstairs. DH is feeling better. We each had doctor appointments earlier this week. Today, we ran some errands, picked up a few things from the grocery store and had lunch out. I get my hair cut tomorrow. DH will drive me. My stylist is in La Jolla, a little ways from where we live. He left the salon near us, and I followed him to where he is now. I'm just used to him and didn't want to look for someone new. I hope everyone's doing well and having a good week.

@viva923 , I'm glad you have your power back on. We've had power outages too. Some planned, some not. Always a hassle..

@MariotaMurielle , I've dealt with Amazon's Customer Service a few times through their chat line. My problems have always been resolved quickly. I hope yours will too. I'm glad to hear repairs on your new house are getting done. I'm sure you'll be so happy when your closer to DD's and no more long drives..

@JustJazzmom , so good you'll be in your new house this weekend. You've taken care of and done so much planning with your move. We've lived here so long, I'd forgotten all the work and details that go with moving...

hi everyone. I stayed at DD's an extra day because DSIL's mother was not feeling well. just got home this afternoon. as usual, I'm so tired.

I had the best surprise yesterday, though. I got a text message from DH saying "I'm at the door". I went to the door and there he stood with a Starbucks latte and a bag of snacks. I had no idea he was coming. he spent the whole day with me and helped me with Ezra. he said he just decided to surprise me and give me a little break.

since DSIL is going to be out of town for 2 weeks and his mother is not well, they are bringing Ezra to us on Sunday and we're going to keep him until DSIL gets back from his trip. I just can't deal with being a displaced person at DD's apartment for that long, so it's really the only thing to do. we think we're prepared, but I'm sure it's going to be interesting.

@SleeplessinSD, your post reminded me I really need a haircut. I just haven't had the time but maybe I'll be able to get an appointment while the baby is with us, since DH will be able to take care of him. glad your DH is feeling better.

@viva923, being without power for that long was not good but at least you had some warning and could prepare. I've never heard of a federally mandated check but I guess that's better than not knowing about potential problems.

there's a small town halfway between where we live and Hattiesburg. there's one store that always has a clean restroom, so it's my regular stop when I'm driving to DD's. they have a very tiny early 1900's "jail house" near the store. I usually send DH a pic when I make my jail house stop to let him know I'm halfway there

@MariotaMurielle , since you're needed to watch Ezra for two weeks, I think it's a great idea to have him staying with you at your house. You'll have DH around to help, maybe schedule your haircut, and best of all, sleep in your own bed! You'll have to keep us posted how it's going. Yes, should be interesting!🙂 love that old jailhouse picture..doesn't look that big, but I'm sure it served its purpose!

We had a really good day. After getting my hair cut, (it looks really cute, btw..at least I think so!), we went to this seafood restaurant we like. It's right next to the harbor, so we sat outside and watched people out with their sail boats. It was just an all around relaxing day.

went to shoe store this morn got me 2 new pair of walker shoes,my last pair i plum wore out

2nd load of clothes in washer should be near finished so i can hang them out.

Good night! Got a lot of things accomplished today at the unit.

Electrician hung the ceiling fan with light kit in our dining area & changed the switch from a dimmer to a regular rocker switch.
Then he took,the light that was in the dining area & used it as the room light in the 2nd bathroom. He added a 4th rocker light switch to that room. I bought the 4 gang switch plate.

Plumber showed up to change out the dishwasher. Previous owner had left a glass behind in it! 

I had brought up a new kitchen faucet to replace a chrome one which was motion sensitive & just annoying that it went on when I neared the sink area. The faucet now matches the brushed nickel door knobs & pulls on the cabinets. 

Here is the ceiling fan with the glass coverlets from our bedroom light kit & the new faucet which is a Delta. The other one was a Moen. The under sink area now has more room in it because the electronics for that faucet took up a lot of space.

Its a beautiful day here. I've already been out watering everything and feeding my plants. We have Bougainvillea trees in our backyard. They're really blooming and add so much color to our yard. DH is still upstairs. Not sure what we have going on today. Everyone stay safe and well..
