@JustJazzmom, we don't use Old Bay. DH does the shrimp boils so I asked him. he uses Zatarain's Crawfish,Shrimp and Crab Boil that comes in a netting type of bag, Louisiana Concentrated Crawfish, Crab & Shrimp boil liquid and Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning. a while back we were using a McCormick shrimp boil that came in a net bag and it broke while the shrimp were boiling a couple of times, so we quit using it.

not a Mississippi sunset but it includes 2 of my favorite things: a cow and Scotland.

hey all

not much going on right now.

my neighbor lady friend took my excercise bike. The only thing i was using it for is picking it up and moving it in and out of my back junk room. Was tired of doing that. She can use it for her knee (she is real close to total knee replacement) the bike will help her excercise her knee to keep it usable.

it has been raining off and on all day. The air is so heavy with moisture it will be another day before it clears out.

Good evening! Where did the day go? I cut up half an eggplant, small yellow squash, small zucchini, small red bell pepper & 1 medium green pepper. I tossed them in a large mixing bowl with 3 Tbsps. vegetable oil & a Tbsp. of Old Bay Seasoning I had from a sample I had received. 

Going to roast them for 15 - 20 minutes at 350*.  Will serve them with tonight's ribs with the cherry sauce. 

I visited a larger grocery store of the same company I was at yesterday. I found what I was looking for -- V8 juice. They were out of the Old Bay Seasoning. Still no Bounty napkins. 

Visited Penzey's online spice store. Thinking of sending to DS for his birthday a box of their salad fixings assortment since they are still working from home. 

They do have their version of Old Bay, calling it Chesapeake Bay Seasoning. I'm thinking of maybe buying that & their saffron. 

We got a lot of rain after 3AM, but when I awoke around 8, it was over. Rain gauge was completely filled at 5"!

I just got a call from our son. Our DIL's Mother, one of the dearest people I know, has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma/Bone Marrow Cancer. She's also diabetic. He was with her family, so I couldn't ask any questions. I dont know anything about this illness, but did google to see what I could find out. Needless to say, it sounds very serious.  I'm so sad for her and the family. I'll know more when I talk again to my son. Her and I are the same age, 73. Please say a prayer, if you can...she'll need all she can get. Thank you..

One more thing before I go, my son also said Covid cases are rising again. We can't let our guard down. Please do whatever you can, especially when out to protect yourself and others....

@JustJazzmom   I love Penseys spices.  They have a store in Tucson.  I have collected quite a variety.  I turned my DD onto them and she doesn't use anything else.  Their store still isn't open in Tucson, so I'm getting ready to place an order online.

@katte  There used to be 2 Penzey's on LI but, I never got around to visiting them. Maybe that's why they left. Too many other stores carry spices -- supermarkets & of course BB&B carrying various salts & peppers. 

It will be a quiet day here. Want to see if I can watch on demand Transplant. I missed the 1st 2 episodes. 

Star Trek Discovery will be starting in 2 weeks on CBS. That was on their all access streaming programming. 

I wish they would bring back The Good Fight, season 2 to the TV.
