I'm sorry @katte , your son has to report to work. 

I discovered a pin hole leak in a hot water pipe in our utility room. Fortunately it's not a big leak. I would say it started today sometime. I wiped it up & put a paper towel down for reference. Plumber will be by tomorrow &  correct this. I think he will remove the copper pipe & replace with the red PEX piping. He will be masked tomorrow. I transferred all our paper goods to closets so if he puts anything down, I just sanitize the countertop.

It's always something......

hey all

not much here today.

did do a bunch of chores been up since 430am got dh off to work and hit the road running. did 2 huge loads of laundry all dried and put  away.

even got walk in this morn

watched a dumb 1986 movie that wasn't worth 1 star let alone ----3 stars.

not much else right now guys, will check in later.

The plumber was here early (9:30) and it was what I thought -- a pin hole leak in a 1" diameter hot water line pipe. Fortunately the entire water didn't need to be shut off, just that particular hot water line. He did the switch & was done in an hour.

My Instacart order went off without a hitch, only 1 substitution & 1 deletion.

I made ambrosia for tonight's dessert. Doing thin pork chops tonight using Chinese 5 spice powder, honey, sesame oil & cayenne pepper.

Should be good.

@JustJazzmom , I'm glad you got your leak fixed and it was nothing more than you expected..

@katte , it's my understanding if a person is exposed and/or shows symptoms, they should self quarantine. I hope your son stays well...

hey all. it's been hot, humid and raining buckets here. not my kind of weather.

@katte, I agree with @SleeplessinSD  and think it's unwise for your DS's employer not to let him self quarantine. I do hope he will be unaffected and stay well. I'm sure you're worried.

my stepmother passed away last evening. although she had been very sick for the past week, in the end it seemed to be peaceful and without pain. her funeral will be Tuesday. the funeral home will only allow 10 people at the service. DD will drive up and go with us.

@MariotaMurielle, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your stepmother. I know she lived a long life, may she RIP. It is nice that DD will be able to attend the funeral with you.

@MariotaMurielle  Words of comfort & I'm sorry about your stepmom's passing. It is good that they are limiting crowds at funerals/wakes.

A beautiful day here. Laundry is saying fold me! Newspapers are saying read me! TV is saying watch me! 

I watched so far half of The Diary of Anne Frank yesterday. It's almost 3 hours long. I finished watching Lolita yesterday.

I had never seen Lolita & based on the norms of the time, it suggested rather than demonstrated their relationship.
